Core problem: Attackers stall because they treat Expedition like a normal cap-and-move mode. Sectors only open in order, capturing HQ is not enough, Momentum drains while you dither, and once Foothold starts you cannot turn it off. You have to keep contesting or the match ends.

1How the Map Actually Flows

Sector Order
Sectors sit in a line from attacker spawn toward defender spawn. You cannot skip. You only see the next sector layout after you fully take the current one. Each sector (except usually the last) has:
Headquarters (mandatory)
Capture it, then secure it or the sector does not unlock
Cap alone does nothing. After the flag flips you must Build 3 structures or plant and detonate a bomb.
Support Objective (optional but worth it)
Extra Momentum, weapons, and a forward spawn
Does not unlock the next sector, but gives you the spawn and fire support to take HQ cheaper.
Decision: If HQ is heavily held and Support is open, take Support first for the spawn and Momentum, then immediately turn onto HQ. If HQ is already being contested, stay on HQ. Support does not unlock the next sector.

3Foothold Recovery (What Players Panic About)

Foothold starts when Momentum hits 0
It cannot be removed. It lasts until the match ends. Do this immediately:
Decision under Foothold: Ignore side fights. Every player off the objective is a timer tick. Support is only worth it if it is already almost yours and you need the spawn, otherwise live on HQ.
