Gallipoli Anzac Cove and SS River Clyde Beach Landing Maps

How to survive and win the Anzac Cove and V Beach (SS River Clyde) landings in Gallipoli. Get off the boats fast, place squad beacons, push the ridges, and avoid the mistakes that stall attackers.

Attacker Landing Anzac Cove V Beach / River Clyde Beacon Race
Core Problem

On Anzac Cove and V Beach (SS River Clyde), attackers start as sitting ducks in boats or the beached ship. Your main goal is getting a foothold off the water fast, placing squad beacons so the team does not keep respawning at the original distant spawn, then pushing up the steep ridges and fort without getting farmed. Defense has the high ground and the boats offer almost no cover.

Step 1: Get Off the Water Immediately

Boats and the River Clyde are death traps. Rush the beach the second you can. Do not linger, do not wait for the whole squad, do not treat the landing like a sightseeing tour.

1

Anzac Cove: scramble up the nearest slope

Row or land, then immediately scramble up the nearest slope toward Plugge's Plateau / First Ridge rather than clustering on the narrow strip of sand. The terrain rises sharply. Staying on the beach gets you shelled and shot from above.

2

V Beach: exit the River Clyde immediately

Exit the River Clyde sally ports and ramps as soon as they open. The ship is grounded under the Seddülbahir fort. The first waves take heavy fire. The few who make the sand need to get behind the low bank or wreckage fast.

3

Plant a beacon the moment you have cover

Anyone can build a squad beacon. Do it the moment you have a sliver of cover on the beach or first terrace. One aggressive officer or rifleman who plants a beacon early lets the rest of the squad spawn forward instead of running the whole beach again.

!
If your team is still spawning at the original boats after the first 2 to 3 minutes, the attack is already stalling. Push beacons inland immediately.

Step 2: Beacon and Spawn Discipline

Attacking is a beacon race. This is the thing players complain about most.

1

Leapfrog beacons inland

Push a few meters, drop a beacon, then push again. Keep leapfrogging so the spawn line creeps inland.

2

Destroy enemy beacons

Destroy enemy beacons and caches so they cannot spawn behind or beside you.

3

Use the Officer class

Officer class is strong here because teammates can spawn on you while you keep moving.

4

Cap is not enough

Capping an objective is not enough. Check whether you also need to build or destroy something after the cap.

Key Decisions

Go straight up or spread along the cove?

On Anzac Cove the intended landing drifted north of the planned beach. Go straight up the nearest ridge (toward Plugge's / Russell's Top area) rather than spreading too wide along the cove. The gullies give some concealment but also funnel fire.

Wait for artillery dust or just go?

There is no creeping smoke like Isonzo. Use the dust and smoke from incoming artillery as your window to cross open sand or the first slope. Do not wait for a perfect barrage that never comes.

River Clyde vs open boats on V Beach

The ship gives a slightly more protected (but still deadly) exit compared with the open boats. Once a few players are on the sand, they should immediately start working the fort approaches rather than waiting for the entire ship to empty.

When to switch from beach to high ground

As soon as two or three beacons are inland of the waterline. Continuing to feed bodies onto the sand just feeds the defenders.
