Core problem: Diana's kit enables extended fights via Q/E resets and R resets, but pure glass cannon builds die too fast to use more than one rotation. Dusk and Dawn first item synergizes with her passive and gives HP/AP/AS/haste + omnivamp, letting her stay in fights for multiple Q/E/W rotations. This is the meta solve for consistent wins at high elo.

Runes

Primary - Precision
Conqueror Triumph Legend: Haste Cut Down

Conqueror stacks AP and healing in extended fights - ideal for bruiser Diana. Legend: Haste preferred over Alacrity for spell rotation speed. Legend: Alacrity if you want faster clear.

Secondary - Sorcery
Absolute Focus Gathering Storm

Compensates for defensive items with extra AP. Gathering Storm gives big late scaling - important since you delay Rabadon's for tank items.

Shards + Summoners
Adaptive (x2) Tenacity / Scaling HP Blue Smite

Blue Smite extends engage range significantly - preferred over red/green for mobility and ganking. Tenacity shard into heavy CC comps.

Item Build Order

Start: Jungle item (Blue Smite) + Dark Seal if possible. Keep stacks - you are tankier now so it is easier to maintain.

  1. 1
Dusk and Dawn (first item spike)

Component buy order: Blasting Wand > Ruby Crystal > Sheen > Dagger. Do not buy in wrong order or you delay the spike. Synergizes with passive, gives HP/AP/AS/haste + omnivamp/healing.

  2. 2
    Gluttonous Greaves

Omnivamp boots. Better than Mercs or Plated Steelcaps in most games for sustaining through camps and skirmishes. Only swap to Mercs if facing extreme CC-heavy team.

  3. 3
    Tank component (situational)

Spectre's Cowl into AP-heavy enemy, Negatron Cloak for strong mage matchups, Warden's Mail into heavy AD/auto attackers. Buy based on what is killing you, not on autopilot.

  4. 4
    Riftmaker

Prolongs fights, adds omnivamp and AP. Combine with the tank component to finish your defensive item (Spirit Visage vs AP, Frozen Heart vs AD).

  5. 5
    Situational 5th/6th: Rabadon's / Mejais / Bloodletter's Curse

If snowballing, maintain Mejais stacks. Rabadon's for damage spike if team does not need you to be tankier. Bloodletter's for reduce-MR support for your AP teammates.

Skill order: Max Q first, then W, then E. W gives shield and damage - it is more than just a passive filler. E cooldown is your main mobility tool, never waste it without a reset target.

Jungle Pathing

Standard Full Clear

Red > Raptors/Krugs > Blue side full clear. Diana's clear speed is faster than many junglers - you can prioritize CS over early ganking. Secure scuttle after first clear, then back for components. Counter-jungle when enemy jungler is visible on the opposite side. Use Q for vision over walls and to follow dashes.

Ganking Windows

Combos

Basic Engage Combo
Q (mark) -> E (dash) -> R (reset) -> Auto + W

W activates shield and damage during the combo. Auto between casts to proc passive and Conqueror stacks.

Advanced E Reset (multi-target)
Q on wave -> E into champion -> R -> E again

Hit Q on minions before dashing to a champion - keeps the mark active for an extra E reset. Use this to reposition between targets or escape after assassinating.

Key Decision Points

Situation Recommendation
Most games (mixed comp) Bruiser Dusk and Dawn into Rift + tank item. Versatile, survives dives, multiple fight rotations.
Snowballing hard / enemy all squishy Full AP Dusk into Rift into Rabadon's. Skip tank items if you are killing everyone in one rotation.
Heavy AP enemy comp Rush Spirit Visage after Rift. Abyssal Mask or Kaenic Rookern if extreme AP threat.
Heavy AD/auto-attacker comp Rush Frozen Heart after Rift. Warden's Mail component early if you need it immediately.
Mejais stacking Buy Dark Seal early and maintain stacks safely - bruiser build keeps you alive longer. Upgrade to Mejais if 10+ stacks around 20 min.
