Dual Boss Fight
Level 35-50
The Fight
The Tower of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre is a dual boss fight against Axel (fire) and Orserk (electric). They hit hard with aggressive AoE combos and have a timer that wipes unprepared teams. Success requires pillar cover, ranged DPS, Water-type Pals, and proactive Pal swapping. Doable at level 35-50 with proper prep.
Pre-Fight Preparation
Weapons and Ammo
Assault Rifle, Handgun, or Rocket Launcher preferred. Avoid melee. Stock max ammo. Bring HP and stamina recovery items plus Pal Spheres and revival items.
Food Buffs
Eat Mozzarina Cheeseburger or equivalent for +20% attack on you and your Pals before entering. Huge DPS loss without food buffs.
Armor
Equip heat-resistant armor if available for the volcanic area. Better armor means more survivability against fire attacks.
Pal Team (4-5 slots)
Water and Ground types to counter Fire and Electric. Bring Jormuntide, Penking, or Knocklem for consistent damage. At least one tanky Pal to hold aggro. Dragon types also effective.
Fight Execution: Step by Step
-
1Enter and position behind pillars Run to the arena and immediately use the pillars and columns for cover. Do not mount or carry Pals during the fight, as it reduces dodge mobility and makes AoE hits land harder. Summon your first strong Pal right away to draw aggro.
-
2Ranged DPS from cover Stay at mid-to-long range and unload with your gun while circling the arena using pillars to block line-of-sight attacks. When the boss shifts focus to you, run and dodge around pillars until your active Pal pulls aggro back. Keep moving at all times.
-
3Swap Pals proactively When your active Pal drops low on HP, swap immediately. Use Water attacks heavily for big damage against both bosses. Prioritize bursting down adds or charged attacks when they appear. Do not over-rely on one Pal.
-
4Dodge key mechanics Dodge Orserk's close-range electric bursts and Axel's fire charges by circling pillars. Use Grapple if rooted. Manage stamina carefully, conserve burst damage for safe windows. If Pals die, revive or swap fast, as the duo's aggression ramps up when you are solo.
-
5Finish before timer expires Aim to finish with 30-60 seconds left on the timer. If you are dying with low timer remaining, grind a few levels or upgrade gear first. Players report jumping from failed level 37 runs to clear at 45-55.
Key Boss Mechanics
-
Axel's Fire Charges: Aggressive close-range fire attacks. Dodge by circling pillars. Do not try to tank these without heat-resistant armor.
-
Orserk's Electric Bursts: High-damage AoE electric attacks at close range. Most dangerous mechanic. Stay at mid-to-long range and never let Orserk corner you.
-
Dual Aggro Swaps: The bosses swap aggro between you and your Pals. When they focus you, reposition behind pillars until your Pal pulls them back.
-
Timer Pressure: The tower has a timer. If it expires, you wipe. Balance DPS with survival. Do not play too passively or you will run out of time.
Key Decision Points
-
Ranged vs melee: Ranged with cover is the community consensus. Close range risks instant wipes from Orserk's electric bursts. Do not mount or melee.
-
Pal team composition: Water-heavy team (Jormuntide, Penking) for type advantage. Mix in Knocklem or other strong singles for consistent damage. At least one tanky Pal to hold aggro.
-
When to grind levels: If dying with low timer left, grind to level 45-55. The fight is doable at 35 with perfect play, but 45+ gives much more margin for error.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Running out of ammo or stamina mid-fight. Stock up heavily before entering. Running dry means you cannot DPS during safe windows.
- Staying in the open during charged attacks. Always use pillar cover. The bosses' charged attacks deal massive damage if you are in line of sight.
- Over-relying on one Pal without swaps. When your Pal dies and you have no backup ready, the bosses focus you entirely. Keep Pals rotated.
- Entering without food buffs. Skipping Mozzarina Cheeseburger or equivalent is a huge DPS loss. The +20% attack buff applies to you and your Pals.
- Trying to tank with low-level gear. The fight punishes poor mobility. If your gear is under-leveled, you will get one-shot by Orserk's bursts. Upgrade first.
