Wuthering Waves 3.4: Zani Team Comps and Rotation
Zani team comps and rotation in Wuthering Waves 3.4 - Phoebe Confession Outro amp, Shorekeeper vs Spectro Rover third slot, 2 Nightfall comfortable vs 3 Nightfall swap rotation, and the mistakes that kill Zani damage.
Core goal: Get Zani to convert Phoebe's Spectro Frazzle into as many Nightfall slams as possible per Liberation window (2 is the comfortable baseline, 3 or more is the high-ceiling version) while keeping buffs and Frazzle amp up, without dropping her Forte or wasting Phoebe's Outro.
Team Decision: Pick One and Commit
More consistent, less APM. Shorekeeper's crit and ATK buff plus heal lets you run a clean 1-2-3 or light-swap 3 Nightfall. Community consensus: this is the I actually want to clear ToA and WhiWA without sweating team.
Higher ceiling if you can quickswap during Zani's Nightfall spin. Rover adds extra Frazzle so you can squeeze a 3rd (sometimes 4th on opener) Nightfall. Damage gap is real (5 to 10 percent or more when executed well) but 200 percent the headache. Use this if you already have SRover built and can swap on the spin.
1Comfortable Rotation (2 Nightfall, SK or Verina Third)
- 1Start on Shorekeeper. Do her standard cycle (BA into Forte Heavy, Skill, Liberation, Echo) and fill Concerto. Outro to Phoebe.
- 2Phoebe: Hold Skill to enter Confession. Liberation. Two BA3 to Forte Heavy (Starflash) cycles to dump Frazzle. Fill Concerto. You must Outro from Confession.
This is the 100 percent Frazzle damage amp players keep saying is the difference between Zani feels weak and Zani slaps.
- 3Zani Intro: Skill (Standard Def Protocol) to BA3 to second Skill (Targeted Action or cancel) to Liberation (Rekindle).
- 4In Inferno: two full Heavy Slash chains (Daybreak to Dawning to Nightfall) times 2. Second Liberation (The Last Stand) when Blaze is low. Outro back to healer.
- 5Repeat. Do not Liberation Zani until her Forte is ready.
2High-Ceiling Rotation (3 Nightfall with Phoebe plus Rover or light SK swaps)
The extra Nightfall comes from swapping during Zani's Nightfall spin to re-apply Frazzle, then swapping back.
- 1Healer or Rover setup plus Phoebe Confession dump (same as above).
- 2Zani Intro to Skill to Liberation.
- 3First Nightfall chain.
- 4When she starts the spin on Nightfall, swap to Phoebe or Rover for a Heavy or Skill to refresh Frazzle, swap back immediately.
- 5Second Nightfall. Repeat the swap window if you have time. Second Liberation to Outro.
Key Decisions
- Can you consistently land the swap during the spin without eating a hit? If no, stay on 2NF plus SK. Damage loss is smaller than a wipe.
- Do you have Phoebe's Confession Outro every cycle? If you skip it, Zani's Nightfalls lose a huge multiplicative amp. This is the number one my damage is low complaint.
- SK vs Rover as third: SK if you want comfort and crit buff (watch overcapping Crit Rate on high-S Zani). Rover if you want extra Frazzle and are willing to practice swaps.
- WhiWA or Matrix vs ToA: Same teams. WhiWA players often prefer faster healer (Verina) or more swaps to squeeze extra Liberations because of the timer.
Common Mistakes
- Using Phoebe in the wrong mode (not Confession) or swapping off her before Outro. The Confession Outro is the Frazzle amp. Skip it and Zani damage drops hard.
- Liberation on Zani before Forte or Blaze is ready. You waste the Inferno window.
- Running Rover as a healer replacement without actually using his Frazzle during Zani's window. Then you would have been better on SK or Verina.
- Overcapping Crit Rate with SK when Zani already sits at 85 percent or more from echoes. The buff is wasted.
- Trying full sweaty 4NF on mobile or high ping and dying more than you gain. Match the rotation to your platform.
