PoE2 0.5 SSF Endgame Atlas Progression Guide
The SSF endgame wall explained and solved - fortress Atlas priority order, Doriyani unlock, T15 stabilization, and the mechanics that actually matter for SSF crafting.
The Core Problem
Step-by-Step Atlas Progression
Stay inside the fortress prison walls. Rush the center of the Atlas tree (not the top) for the +1 tablet mod node. Use Ctrl+F/search to find every "Tablet" and "Waystone" node - grab all of them.
Unlock "Irradiated tablets can now drop" immediately. They do not drop by default without this node.
Priority #1 - do this before anything elseClear a corrupted tower area. He becomes a master who sells maps and gives +1 revive. Enables safe 6-mod maps with 3 tablets.
When low on maps: buy 3x T14s from Doriyani and combine them into a T15 at the reforging bench. This is your map sustain safety valve.
Alch all maps. Regal tablets. Focus early Atlas points on waystone sustain nodes: Valuable Paths, Pathkeepers, Archaeological Interest.
Run maps inside the walls only. Target 50-100 Atlas points while reaching T15s. This is the stabilization phase.
Completing this inside the fortress gives free +40 Atlas points. After this, rush the top of the tree for 4-mod tablets which significantly boost map rewards.
Skip if your build struggles - not required for T15 accessOnce stable in T15s with good sustain, venture outside the fortress to unlock and farm these mechanics:
Best Mechanics for SSF
Key Decision Points
Always center first for immediate +1 tablet mod and waystone sustain. Rush the top only after Arbiter to get 4-mod tablets.
Once you hit T15s with stable waystone sustain and ~50-100 Atlas points. Exploring before this leads to map starvation.
Grenade Tactician (Pin2Win) is highly recommended - strong campaign to endgame, zero uniques needed. Minion variants and Spirit Walker Companions also SSF-viable. Prioritize passive tree and gem power over gear since SSF limits your item options.
Hunt red beams outside the fortress walls after stabilization. Each Arbiter kill from a citadel gives +40 Atlas points. Good for pushing toward the full 400/400 tree.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Zero Atlas progress. Every map outside the walls before you have sustain is wasted time in SSF.
These are not optional. Skipping them leads to immediate map starvation and prevents irradiated tablets from dropping at all.
Nodes like Possessed Wisps increase difficulty without proportional power. There is no respec in the Atlas - plan your points before spending them.
Raw maps give poor rewards. Alch everything, regal your tablets, and reforge T14s into T15s when you run low - do not skip this.
Shrines are meaningful early survivability and clear speed. Temple gives irradiated tablets and currency from Atziri - both worth setting up early.
