Is PoE 2 an MMO?
No — it's a shared-world ARPG: towns are social hubs, gameplay is instanced for your party of up to 6. Couch co-op and cross-play are supported.
Do I need to play PoE 1 first?
No — PoE 2 is a separate campaign set years later with its own classes and engine. PoE 1 keeps running as its own game.
When exactly does it go free?
