Halloween The Game: Dead Heroes Return as Police or Loomis
How dead Heroes return as sheriff deputies or Dr. Loomis in Halloween The Game. Build police badges, repair the radio, spawn with a gun, and detain Michael Myers with multi-player skill-checks.
Halloween: The Game
Deputy
Loomis
Detain Myers
Core goal: After you die (or sometimes after you escape), stay in the match, come back as a sheriff's deputy or Dr. Loomis, then use guns plus a human authority player to detain Michael. NPC cops alone usually cannot finish the arrest. Dying early is not supposed to mean "spectate forever," but the return is conditional and the arrest is easy to fail.
1Build Police Presence Before You Die
Do this while you are still a Hero of Haddonfield:
- 1Talk NPCs through the persuasion minigame. Tell regular residents to call the cops. Special targets should usually hide, not wander.
- 2Call police yourself when you can pass the phone minigame. Failed calls have a cooldown.
- 3Flare guns fill a police badge. Fill badges toward 3. High police level makes deputy/Loomis returns more likely and brings the wagon.
If the team never calls: A dead player can sit in afterlife minigames with no useful spawn. Build badges first.
2After Death: Take the Return When It Appears
Dead players can still feed perk cards and help living teammates from the sideline. To actually walk the streets again:
- 1Deputy: Usually tied to police level plus drawing/using the right perk card from your deck. Several players report having the card in the deck and still not seeing it often.
- 2Loomis: Someone still alive repairs/uses the CB / ham radio and calls him. A common trophy route: one player dies, another calls Loomis so the dead player can spawn as him.
- 3You can return after escaping, not only after dying.
Stay in the match. Quitting after first death is the #1 complaint. This is not DBD; the extra life is the point.
3What to Do as Deputy or Loomis
- 1You cannot reliably talk to residents as police. Treat that as intended for now.
- 2Shoot Myers, knock him down, protect remaining heroes and the wagon/exits.
- 3Hunt Myers with other armed players. Magnum/shotgun come with the role or drop off dead cops.
- 4Your win condition is detain, not just "shoot him a lot."
4How to Arrest Michael (The Hard Part)
- 1A player must be Loomis or a deputy. NPC cops nearby can actually block a clean arrest in the current build.
- 2Deal enough damage that the arrest meter on Myers fills. Stay near him as Loomis/cops so the meter can build.
- 3Down him.
- 4When the handcuff icon flashes red/blue, start the detain skill-checks.
- 5Do not solo it. Multiple people on the check fill the bar faster. One Loomis usually loses because Myers stands up in ~5 seconds and the success windows are tiny. Progress can reset.
- 6If you have the fragile hourglass, throw it on him while he is down. It delays him getting up long enough for the cuffs.
Success ends the match with Myers loaded into the wagon. That is the "detention" win.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Treating first death as the end and leaving. Stay in the match.
- Never calling police, then wondering why no one returns.
- Solo-cuffing as Loomis while teammates stand back. Civilians often do not even see the arrest meter.
- Trying to arrest with only NPC officers. A human deputy/Loomis is required.
- Standing on a downed Myers as a civilian. Players report the game reading it as teabagging and Myers insta-killing you.
- Ignoring the hourglass when you have it. It is the difference between a successful cuff and Myers standing back up.
- Expecting Loomis/deputy to command NPCs the way heroes do. They cannot.
