Version 6.6
Abyss / Theater
Team Synergy Focus
Meta Shift in 6.6
Powercreep from Natlan and Snezhnaya-era characters has shifted the meta heavily toward specific hyper-buffer cores. Old favorites struggle without new supports. Goal: maximize team DPS through synergies - not solo carries.
Step 1: Assess Your Roster First
List your key characters before choosing a team
Meta teams scale massively with constellations and refinements. C0/R0 players should focus on Mavuika melt or hyperbloom. High-investment players should prioritize Nicole C6 + Durin.

Top Pick
Nicole + Durin Core (High Investment)
Dominant in current Chinese Abyss data - appears in most top C6R5 teams

Repeat
- Nicole at C6: 40%+ DEF shred, ATK buff, RES shred, team-wide damage enable. C6 Nicole is "parity with C6 Bennett."
- Build Nicole with Hex or Pyro DMG artifact sets for the 40% DMG bonus
- Use Bennett as budget replacement if Nicole is unavailable
Mavuika Melt (Accessible, C0 Viable)
Consistently ranked near the top for ease + raw power. Best team without full new 5-stars

Mavuika on-field melts
- Farm Cinder City artifacts for Mavuika. Prioritize Normal Attack and Burst talents
- Maintain melt reactions by applying cryo/pyro consistently - missing melts kills DPS
- Scales well even at C0 with correct 4-star support set
Skirk Freeze
Strong at low investment, scales worse vertically than Durin/Nicole
SkirkDPS
EscoffierCryo Support
FurinaHydro Buffer
Cryo/Hydro flexSustain
- Best entry-level high-performing team. Consistent reliable output without deep investment
- Does not scale as aggressively as Nicole/Durin at C6 - plateau around Abyss 36 stars
Mualani Vape
Requires Mona C2+ for best results
MualaniDPS
Mona C2+Buffer
Sucrose or XilonenVV Shred
Mavuika or DurinPyro/Applicator
- Use Sucrose with VV artifacts for Hydro RES shred
- Maintain vape reactions - Mualani's Hydro hits must proc against Pyro
Lunar / Nod-Krai Teams
New reaction type - requires specific new artifact sets
Nefer or FlinsDPS
Sucrose or AinoSupport
LaumaSupport
- New artifact sets are mandatory - old sets severely underperform on these characters
- Focus on quick rotations to maximize Lunar reaction window uptime
Key Decision Points
| Your Situation | Team to Build |
|---|---|
| C0 / Low investment | Mavuika melt or Hyperbloom (Nahida + Kuki core). Reliable performance without constellations. |
| Have Nicole C6 + Durin | Invest vertically here first. C6 Nicole is parity with C6 Bennett and unlocks the highest-ceiling team. |
| Prefer easy rotation | Neuvillette hypercarry or Skirk freeze. Lower ceiling but consistent and low error rate. |
| Prefer dynamic playstyle | Mualani vape or Mavuika melt. Meta currently rewards active movement and tech. |
| No new Natlan 5-stars | National team variations or Hyperbloom. Still viable for full star Abyss clears. |
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Spreading resin across too many characters. Hyper-investing 1-2 complete teams beats having 6 half-built characters. Pick one team and finish it before building the second.
- Ignoring new artifact sets. Hex, Cinder City, and Lunar-specific sets make or break these teams. Using older sets on new characters cuts your DPS significantly.
- Keeping outdated supports. Old Xiangling without updates, or running Fischl when Citlali or Xilonen is available, noticeably reduces team performance.
- Sloppy rotations. Missing melt or vaporize windows, or dropping buffs from Bennett/Nicole, can cut DPS by 40%+. Practice the rotation in open world before Abyss.
- Pulling every new character without checking synergies. Focus on "package" teams - a DPS without their dedicated supports underperforms. Check team synergy first.
