NTE Baicang Build Guide - Incantation DPS Rotation & Gear

Core Problem

Baicang is a high-skill-ceiling S-Rank Incantation DPS who sacrifices his own HP to generate Power Words. Each skill costs roughly 3% current HP but enables three distinct Power Word types:

Silence

Single-Target

Core boss-damage Power Word. Priority in sustained fights.

Objurgate

AoE Cleave

Use for mob packs. Secondary in boss content.

Bless

Heal / Sustain

Trigger when HP is low to recover. Not a DPS tool.

ⓘ The real damage comes from Power Word generation and Scorch uptime, not just triggering Execute. Players who chase the Execute mechanic without managing the flow upstream deal significantly less damage.

Best Build Priorities

Arc (Weapon)

★ Camellia Society (signature) is the clear best-in-slot. Strong Crit Rate and offensive scaling that directly synergizes with his HP-drain kit. If unavailable, run Fluff of Ferocity or any high-ATK / Crit alternative.

Stat Priority

Modules

Prioritize as many Type III Modules as possible (+7.5% Crit Rate each). Farm in Rabbit Hole and match shapes for 4-piece set bonuses. Target substats: Incantation DMG Bonus, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, Universal DMG Bonus, ATK Bonus.

Skill Upgrade Priority

Ultimate first because Judgment of Autumn is where the vast majority of Baicang's burst damage lives.

Rotation & Mechanics

The rotation revolves around generating Power Words before entering Judgment of Autumn (Ultimate domain), then spending them inside the domain for amplified effects. The domain also applies an Execute threshold: enemies below 10% HP (5% for bosses) can be instantly killed.

Boss Rotation (Step by Step)

Build Power Words

Use skills and Basic Attacks to generate Power Words before using Ultimate. Focus on Silence for single-target boss damage. Each skill use costs ~3% current HP.

Maintain Scorch Uptime

Keep Scorch active on the target before entering the domain. This requires team coordination - pair with enablers like Daffodil. Generating Power Words on Scorch-affected enemies adds extra pressure and DoT amplification.

Enter Judgment of Autumn

Activate the Ultimate to enter the domain. With A3 Awakening, the domain duration is extended significantly. Inside the domain, Power Words trigger their strongest effects.

Weave Skills and Execute

During the domain: trigger Power Words, weave additional skills for extra damage (A2 buffs next skill after Silence), and Execute low-HP targets when the threshold is met.

⚠ Execute is the reward for good play, not the rotation itself. Do not chase it at the expense of Power Word generation.

Sustain and Repeat

Use Bless Power Words when HP drops low. Baicang's sustain is self-contained via this healing mechanic. Reset the rotation for the next Ultimate window.

Extended Domain Extends Judgment of Autumn duration, giving more time to spend Power Words and Execute targets.

ATK Stacks Builds ATK stacks per Power Word generated. Solid damage increase but less impactful than A1-A3.

Expanded Capacity Increases maximum Power Word storage. Allows building a larger bank before the Ultimate window.

Common Mistakes

Chasing Execute without feeding the rotation Execute triggers only when HP thresholds are met. The damage that pushes enemies there comes from Power Words and Scorch uptime. Fix the source, not the symptom.

Button-mashing without Power Word management Baicang has a skill loop, not a spam kit. Random skill presses waste HP and don't generate the right Power Word type for the situation.

Weak Scorch enablement in team Baicang's damage scales heavily off Scorch reactions. Running him without a Scorch enabler (Daffodil is standard) is a significant DPS loss even with perfect rotation.
