Tusk in Minecraft
Tusk is Johnny Joestar's Stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7 (Steel Ball Run). In Minecraft it exists as a JCraft addon that adds all four Acts as playable Stands - nail shots, wormhole travel and the Golden Spin finisher.
There is no Tusk in vanilla Minecraft - the term refers to the Tusk (JCraft Addon) mod, which just got its 2.1.0 update in October 2026. It needs JCraft 0.18.0+ and JCraft Additions (1.0.0+, or 1.2.2+ for Tusk 2.0) on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge or Fabric.
Install checklist
Three pieces, all for Minecraft 1.20.1. Missing the JCraft Additions dependency is the most common reason the addon does not load.
| Component | Version required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| JCraft (Eyes of Ender) | 0.18.0+ | The base Stand mod - Tusk slots into its Stand roster |
| JCraft Additions | 1.0.0+ (1.2.2+ for Tusk 2.0) | Required dependency - grab the latest to be safe |
| Tusk (JCraft Addon) | latest (2.1.0) | Pick the Forge or Fabric jar matching your loader |
/stand about - the addon's own command - to see the Stand list and ability details for each Act.How to get Tusk Act 1
The addon follows the Steel Ball Run lore path: Corpse Parts found at a Devil's Pillar grant the Stand.
-
1
Find a Devil's Pillar structure
A worldgen structure added by the mod. Inside it you will find Suspicious Corpse Part Sand.
-
2
Brush the Suspicious Corpse Part Sand
Use a brush on it, suspicious-sand style, to reveal one of four random Corpse Parts.
-
3
Use the Saint's Left Arm
If the Corpse Part you pulled is the Saint's Left Arm, using it grants Tusk Act 1. The other three parts are random rolls - expect repeat trips until the Left Arm drops.
-
4
Evolve through the Acts
The addon implements Tusk's lore-accurate Act 1 through Act 4 progression. Check
/stand aboutin-game for the exact evolution steps and ability keys on your version.
What each Act does
The four Acts mirror Johnny's growth across Steel Ball Run - each one unlocks a different way to use the Spin through his nails.
Act 1 - Nail shots
The basic form: fires spinning nails as projectiles. Short range, low power, but the foundation everything builds on.
Act 2 - Homing holes
Nail shots that leave holes which chase targets - the point where Tusk stops being a simple projectile Stand.
Act 3 - Wormhole travel
Johnny can send himself or parts of attacks through the holes Act 2 opens - repositioning and ambush play.
Act 4 - Golden Spin
The endgame form: melee barrage plus the infinite rotation attack - the strongest single Stand payoff in the addon.
Alternatives if you do not want mods
Two free datapack options exist for near-vanilla play: TBatlas' Complete JoJo Datapack (the maintained successor of the original Tusk datapack) and the Redstone Crusaders Tusk pack - both on Planet Minecraft, both including their own Act progression. Datapacks run without a mod loader but offer simpler abilities than the JCraft version.
