AnyPS5
An open-source tool that ports PS5 game executables to run as native Windows and Linux programs. Not an emulator — it relinks the executable and supplies its own PS5 system libraries, so each converted game runs directly on your PC.
AnyPS5 is a command-line relinker, not a one-click app. You feed it a legally dumped PS5 executable and it rewrites it into a native Windows or Linux program. There is also an official web converter that runs the relinking in your browser — files never leave your device. It only works on games whose needed functions have already been rebuilt.
Fake installers are everywhere. The only official AnyPS5 download is the GitHub releases page — a zip with a CLI tool, currently at v0.1.3. Any site offering an "anyps5.exe" installer, a setup wizard, or asking for payment or surveys is not the project. Do not run it.
How it works (and why it is not an emulator)
- 1It rewrites the executable
A relinker converts the PS5 binary into the target system's native format. The result is a normal .exe or Linux binary — there is no virtual console running underneath.
- 2It ships its own system libraries
AnyPS5 includes re-implementations of the PS5 system PRX libraries, linked dynamically. A game only runs once every function it calls has been rebuilt — about half of the declared functions are implemented so far.
- 3Each game is brought up individually
Compatibility grows title by title. Community "game bring-up" threads track how far each game gets and which missing function currently blocks it.
What actually runs right now
A handful of titles have reached verified gameplay on Windows as of late October 2026 — mostly smaller 2D games. Big AAA titles are still blocked.
| Game | Stage |

The community blocker map covers 300+ reported games — everything from first frames to in-game. Check the full AnyPS5 games compatibility list for your specific title.
Using it, in short
- 1Get the release for your OS
Grab the latest build from GitHub releases — Windows and Linux builds convert and run games; the macOS build currently ships the relinker only, including Apple Silicon.
- 2Or use the web converter
The project's browser converter does the same relinking locally on your machine — no upload, no server. Handy for a one-off file.
- 3Point it at your own game dump
You supply a legally obtained PS5 executable from a console you own. The project ships no games, firmware or keys.
- 4Check the blocker map first
If your game is not on the playable list, look up its bring-up thread — you will see exactly which function is blocking it and on which build.
Common questions
Is AnyPS5 an emulator like KytyPS5?
No. KytyPS5 emulates/translates at runtime; AnyPS5 rewrites the game file itself into a native program. They are complementary projects — see our KytyPS5 guide if you want the emulation route.
Can it run Bloodborne or other big exclusives?
Not yet. Large first-party titles call hundreds of unimplemented functions. The playable list is small indie and 2D games for now — check the compatibility list rather than assuming.
Is it legal and safe?
The tool is free, open-source software — legal to download and inspect. It ships no copyrighted game data or system software. You are responsible for dumping game files only from hardware you own.
Does it work on Mac?
Partially — the relinker itself runs on macOS including Apple Silicon, but there is no macOS runtime target yet, so converted games still target Windows or Linux.
