AnyPS5 Games - What Actually Runs on PC
AnyPS5 is a free open-source tool that converts PS5 game executables into native Windows and Linux programs — no emulation layer running while you play. It launched in August 2026 and is still early: here is the honest state of the game list.

Short answer: a handful of small games run today. The project's verified list has one confirmed title — Dreaming Sarah — while community testers report Balatro, Animal Well and the DOOM homebrew port as playable. Big releases are not there yet: GTA V reaches its prologue at ~27 fps on a testing branch, and that's the best-case AAA result so far.
Compatibility status by game
Community test reports as of late October 2026. Results depend heavily on the exact build and OS — check the linked report threads before trying a title yourself.
| Game | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Dreaming Sarah | Playable | The only title on the project's officially verified list |
| Balatro | Playable | Community-verified, runs well |
| Animal Well | Playable | Community-verified |
| DOOM (homebrew port) | Playable | Homebrew build, community-tested |
| Super Meat Boy 3D | Partial | Level 1-1 runs on Linux; game-wide outcome unconfirmed |
| Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy | Partial | Title screen and main menu render; first level blocked by a metadata error |
| Grand Theft Auto V | Partial | Opening prologue at ~27 fps on a testing branch; Story Mode save loads |
| Call of Duty: Black Ops II | Fails | Launches ~10 seconds then aborts before the menu |
| Minecraft | Fails | Process loader fails — missing libcohtml.Prospero.prx host module |
How AnyPS5 works (and why it's not an emulator)
An emulator imitates the console while the game runs inside it. AnyPS5 instead rewrites the game's PS5 executable once, ahead of time, into a normal .exe or Linux binary, and swaps the console's system libraries for its own. The PS5's x86-64 CPU is the same architecture as a PC, so the game code runs directly — what's rebuilt is everything around it: memory, files, sound, saves, and shaders translated to Vulkan.

1
Dump a game you own
You need a decrypted dump from your own PS5: the main executable (
eboot.binas plain ELF) plus itssce_module/folder. Encrypted files off a disc or the store cannot be opened. -
2
Download the release for your OS
From GitHub releases: the
relinkerbinary (Windows .exe or Linux) plus the matchingprx-windows/prx-linuxsystem library pack. Nothing else needs installing. -
3
Run the relinker on the dump
The converter produces a native program. A web-based converter also exists that keeps files on your device, for people who don't want to touch a terminal.
-
4
Play with a controller or keyboard
SDL-mapped controllers work out of the box including analog sticks and triggers. Keyboard/mouse bindings go in
anyps5-input.ini.
Requirements
| Component | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | 64-bit Windows or Linux (macOS can run the relinker only, incl. Apple Silicon — no game runtime yet) |
| GPU | Vulkan 1.1 capable |
| Game files | Your own decrypted PS5 dump — the project ships no games, firmware or keys |
| Skill level | Comfortable with command line helps; bleeding-edge results need building from source plus open PRs |
FAQ
Will AnyPS5 run GTA 6?
Not at launch, realistically. GTA VI releases November 19, 2026 for consoles. AnyPS5 doesn't need per-game support in theory — any title works once every system function it uses exists — but a huge open-world game uses a lot of them, and GTA V is the closest proof point today at prologue-level. If GTA VI gets an official PC release, that will be the easy path anyway.
Is AnyPS5 safe to download?
From the official repo, yes — it's GPL-2.0 open source built by CI. Copycat repos have appeared (one under an "Any-PS5" account advertised a version the project never released). Only use github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5, and ignore any site bundling "installers" or games.
Does it play PS4 games or need a jailbroken PS5?
It targets PS5 executables specifically. Dumping your own games does require PS5 access capable of producing decrypted files — that's on you, and the project doesn't cover it.
Where's the full game list?
Per-game progress is tracked in the repo's compatibility docs and the community report board, one thread per title, with the exact build and hardware used.
Set expectations low. AnyPS5 is ~80 days old with rapid progress, but today it's a tool for enthusiasts and testers, not a way to play your PS5 library on PC. Follow the repo for releases — the gap between "menu renders" and "playable" closes fast in this kind of project.
