Abyssion — daily rare-answer dive

How a dive works

  1. 1
    Everyone gets the same questions

Each day brings one "Plongée du jour" — 7 open questions like "name a video game character with a moustache", shared by every player worldwide. Typos are forgiven.

  2. 2
    20 seconds per question

Type a real answer before the air runs out. The obvious answer works — it just barely sinks you.

  3. 3
    Rarity sets your depth

After each answer you see what share of players gave it. From Courante (common) down to Exceptionnelle — rarest of all — your answers stack into meters below the surface.

  4. 4
3 rounds a day, leagues to climb

Daily depth feeds leagues, streaks ("jours de plongée d'affilée") and credits — 3 per 10 m dove — that mark your profile level.

How to score deeper

Skip the obvious

"Name a red fruit" — everyone types strawberry. The valid answer nobody thinks of is where the depth is.

Go specific, not obscure-wrong

Regional, technical or dated answers stay correct while dodging the crowd — a made-up word just wastes air.

Answer in French or names

Questions are in French and most accepted answers are too — proper nouns (people, titles, brands) usually work as-is.

Depth markers are trivia

The depth meter doubles as an ocean-facts scale — watch what real depth each tier of rarity buys you.

Same family as Krillion: if you play Krillion or Wonderhop, Abyssion is the French sibling — same rare-answer idea, with a depth meter instead of a score total. Still in early access, so expect it to evolve.

FAQ

Is Abyssion free?

Yes — the daily dives are free with no account required; a nickname is optional and only used for the leaderboard.

Do I need to speak French?

The questions are in French, so it helps — but browser translation covers the prompts, and answers that are proper nouns usually work as written. French speakers get the cleanest experience.

How many games a day?

Three rounds ("manches") per day — each a 7-question dive with 20 seconds per answer.

What do credits do?

You earn 3 credits per 10 meters dove. They feed your profile level alongside streaks and league placement.
