WARDOGS Server Browser Full Servers Fix
The browser looks empty, only shows 100/100, or never populates. Usually not "servers are down." It is the region selector, queues on one cluster, or joining a full faction. Here is the fix.
Core problem: The server browser looks empty, only shows 100/100 servers, or never populates, so you cannot get into a match. In the Closed Beta this was usually not "servers are down." It was the region selector, queues on one cluster, or joining a full faction after you already got in. Official servers are live from Early Access on 10 September 2026.
1Fix an Empty or All-Full Browser
Do this in order. Players who selected more than one region were the ones posting "list never populated."
- 1Open the Server Browser.
- 2Set Region to exactly one region.
EU East, EU Central, NA, OCE, etc. Multi-select is what broke the list. Beta explicitly capped search to one region at a time.
- 3Refresh the list. Wait a few seconds.
It does not always fill instantly.
- 4If that region is all 100/100 or the queue is broken, leave and pick a different single region.
Example: EU Central queue issues, join EU East instead. Still one region only.
- 5Look at the server title, not just tags.
Infantry-Only and Hardcore showed in the name (e.g. "Hardcore"). NA players often could not see EU-only variants.
2When Servers Are Actually Full
This is capacity, not a broken client.
- 1Servers scale up with demand. Wait, then refresh.
Reinstalling, verifying, or router restarts will not create slots.
- 2If a friend is on a full queued server: join via browser and spam Enter.
Sometimes got people in during beta.
- 3After you get in, do not pick a full faction.
That sent players to a stuck "joining faction" screen. Pick a faction that still has space.
- 4Community servers are the overflow path if official 100-player boxes are locked.
3If the List Still Will Not Load (Local)
Community troubleshooting that people actually used when others could see servers but they could not.
- 1Steam, WARDOGS, Properties, Installed Files, Verify integrity.
- 2Delete the EasyAntiCheat folder in the WARDOGS install directory, then verify again.
- 3Delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Wardogs, then reboot the PC.
The step people skip.
- 4Restart in this order: game, then Steam, then router.
Stale NAT looks like "servers down" after the client connects.
- 5Turn off VPN.
It interferes with matchmaking and browser queries.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Selecting two EU regions at once (or All) and assuming the game will search both. Beta explicitly does not.
- Treating a full official cluster as a personal install problem. Servers scale with demand. Wait and refresh.
- Getting into a server then choosing the full team. You sit on a stuck "joining faction" screen.
- Looking for Hardcore or Infantry-Only only on NA when those boxes were named and listed under EU.
- Troubleshooting local files while the beta window is simply over. "Cannot connect" after the window closes is expected until Early Access launch.
