WARDOGS Server Browser: How to Search a Server by Name
Patch 0.11 added text search to the Community browser only. If you stay on Official, name search will never find a rented or clan server. Here is the exact sequence that works.
Core problem: find a specific community server by name instead of scrolling a huge list. Names are long, tagged, and easy to miss, and friends' or clan servers disappear if the wrong tab, region, or leftover search text is set. Text search exists on the Community browser since Patch 0.11 - not on Official.
1Step-by-Step
- 1Open the Community browser, not Official.
Main menu - Deploy - Community. Community servers stay hidden on the Official tab, and that is where every rented and clan server lives.
- 2Set the region the server actually lives in.
Click Region at the bottom, tick the host's region (NA East, NA Central, Europe, etc.) and confirm. Searching the right name in the wrong region returns nothing. If ticking several regions at once empties the list, drop to one region and refresh.
- 3Clear the search box before you type.
Old search text sticks across sessions. Clear it and refresh first - most "search is broken" reports are a leftover string still in the box.
- 4Search a short unique chunk of the name, not the full title.
Type 3-8 distinctive characters into the Search field. Community names are stuffed with tags (
0A0A0A!!,|, region codes, "CASH BOOST", clan prefixes), so full-name search usually misses. Search the brand word only:REGIMENT,XDC,WARPIGS. Then pick the matching row, hit Join Match, and confirm the map name (Bakurani, Ozeti, Zestafona, etc.) so you do not join a similarly tagged clone. - 5If name search still fails, use Join by ID.
Bottom-left: Join by ID - paste the ID the host posted - Lookup. IDs now persist across map changes and restarts. If a dashed ID fails lookup, try the digits without the dash.
- 6Refresh once and wait a few seconds.
The list caches and the first query after launch is slow. Do not assume the server is down until you have refreshed with region and a short search set.

Mistakes That Waste Time
- Searching on the Official tab for a community or clan server.
- Typing the entire decorated name (
0A0A0A!! [UK] XDC | 5% CASH BOOST!) instead of justXDC. - Wrong region, or too many regions ticked at once.
- Leaving old text in the Search box from a previous session.
- Expecting a Favorites tab. It does not exist yet - save a short search word or the server ID instead.
- Getting baited by name-order spam. Some hosts prefix
0Ato sort to the top. A short unique search beats scrolling that mess.
