WARDOGS Beta Progress Wipe Guide
What carries over from WARDOGS closed beta to Early Access, what resets, and how to plan your first EA session after the September 10 wipe.
Closed-beta cash, class XP, WARDOG Level, and paid unlocks do NOT carry into Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026. Official accounts confirmed the reset; the beta track was deliberately condensed so people could try tanks and late gear in a weekend. You start EA at the same baseline as everyone else.
!What Resets
-
1
Cash
All in-game money earned during the closed beta is wiped. You start EA at roughly $10,000 like every other player.
-
2
Class levels (Assault/Infantry, Medic, Support, Recon, Driver, Pilot)
Every class track resets to zero. Your WARDOG Level, which is the sum of all six class tracks, also resets.
-
3
Combined WARDOG Level
The aggregate level across all classes is wiped along with the individual class progress.
-
4
One-time cash purchases
Any cash purchase that gated weapons, armor, vehicles, ammo, or attachments is gone. You rebuy unlocks in EA.
✓What Persists (once systems are live in EA)
-
1
Gold Bars
Unspent cash auto-converts to Gold at a season reset. This is the one thing that survives a season boundary, not the beta-to-EA boundary.
-
2
Cosmetics bought with Gold
Anything purchased with Gold Bars stays on your account across seasons.
-
3
Future skill-tree persistence and "keep one unlock" token
These systems are planned for EA but not confirmed for day one. Treat them as future, not guaranteed.
→Steps to Do Right Now (Sept 8–10)
-
1
Assume a clean slate on Thursday.
Pre-order or own the game on Steam. EA is listed around 16:00 UTC on 10 September, $39.99 standard. Servers were down after beta closed ~08:00 UTC on 6 September.
-
2
Write down what you learned, not what you owned.
Players who used the beta well treated it as a map/economy lab: Control Zone vs Hot Zone, tower terminals, FOB placement, when a cheap car/logistics run pays more than a tank, how deaths tax your kit.
-
3
Lock settings and binds outside the account.
Sensitivity, keybinds, HOTAS/controller layout, and graphics presets live on your machine more reliably than cloud progress. Screenshot or note them before the wipe.
-
4
Plan first-session cash like a new account.
Everyone starts around $10,000. Beta veterans who immediately bought high-end kits got punished on death. Community consensus for day one: cheap rifle + meds + transport, make money in the match, then buy the next tier.
-
5
Pick one class to level first, not six.
WARDOG Level is the sum of the six class tracks. Unlocks still cost a separate cash buy after the level gate. Spreading thin slows every track.
?Decision Points
-
1
Spend vs hoard cash in a season.
Cash is perishable. It converts to Gold at season end, but the conversion is not generous. Spend on durable upgrades that survive the season; let the remainder convert.
-
2
Grind hard week one vs play casual.
Beta XP was sped up so testers could see late gear in a weekend. EA progression is slower. Grinding the first week still front-loads unlocks, but do not burn out expecting beta speed.
-
3
Buy the cool vehicle vs buy counters.
A flashy tank is fun but dies to cheap rockets. Counters (anti-tank, AA, logistics) win matches and cost less. Buy counters first, toys second.
✕Common Mistakes
- Grinding the last hours of the closed test as if your level will still be there on launch. It will not.
- Copying your beta level-35 tank loadout on EA launch. You cannot afford it, and if you could you would lose it on the first death.
- Ignoring logistics. A cheap logistics run can fund your whole kit. Skipping it to chase fights leaves you broke.
- Treating Gold as win-more power. Gold is cosmetics and convenience, not a combat edge.
- Assuming 1.0 will be wipe-free. Season resets are a core loop. Plan around them, not against them.
â–¶How to Play Your First EA Session
-
1
Spawn, buy cheap kit.
Rifle, meds, basic transport. Do not blow your starting cash on one high-end item.
-
2
Get to the Control Zone with your squad or a cheap vehicle.
Hot Zone pays double but is contested. Control Zone is the safer income source on day one.
-
3
Bank cash by extracting value.
Survive, extract, deposit. A death taxes your kit. Banking small wins compounds faster than one big risky push.
-
4
Put XP into one class.
Focus a single track to hit the first unlock gate fast. Spreading XP across six classes stalls all of them.
-
5
Recycle the loop until your next durable upgrade.
Earn, bank, buy one durable item, repeat. This is the EA economy loop the beta was previewing.
