How to Get Fluxite from Voidbloom in Sandustry

Turn limited Redsand and excess Amethelis petals into Voidbloom, feed it into the Flux Emanator, and harvest purple Fluxite crystals for tool, weapon, and drone upgrades. The full mixing, filtering, and harvesting chain players use.

Turn Redsand + petals into Voidbloom, then into Fluxite

Natural Fluxite is scarce and Redsand is the bottleneck - you get far more petals than Redsand. Materials only combine when dropped on each other (not via conveyors), Voidbloom is lighter than its inputs, and the Emanator grows a crystal from the bottom that needs space and must eventually be dug or shot for the purple Fluxite currency.

Place the Flux Emanator with room to grow

You can only have one Flux Emanator. Place it where you have open space underneath and around the bottom - the crystal grows outward from the bottom center in a roughly circular pattern and will stall or lag if blocked.

Research the Flux Emanator (costs gold) and place it with maximum clear volume below and around the bottom.

Gather Amethelis / Void Petals from flowers grown via Planter Boxes: Spores + water → Seeds → Flowers → destroy for petals + gold. You will end up with large excess piles.

Mine Redsand from redsoil deposits. Common locations include areas around the central water pool at roughly 8 o'clock and in caves (including ceilings/underground). It is finite on the demo/map - treat every pixel as valuable.

Why: Redsand is the limiting reagent. Petals overflow; Redsand runs out. Build petal storage first so overflow does not clog the chain.

Create Voidbloom by dropping materials onto each other

Amethelis petals and Redsand will not combine if pushed together by conveyors. They must physically fall onto each other. One Amethelis + one Redsand produces Voidbloom (some reports note higher yields in practice). Voidbloom is the lightest, so it floats on top of denser Redsand and petals.

Simple setup: Drop petals into a pile or box of Redsand (or vice versa) and let gravity do the work - "salad mix" style. Drones can ferry Redsand into a petal storage area.

Loop + filter method (recommended for volume): Create a circulating loop of the materials. Drop one onto the other so mixing occurs. Run everything through a filter that blocks/holds Voidbloom while letting unmixed Redsand + Amethelis fall through and recirculate. This continuously mixes and separates the product.

Top-filter approach: Use the fact that Voidbloom is lightest - filter it off the top while denser materials fall through for further mixing. Add side filters for unsticking jams.

Buffer excess petals in a large storage box so they do not overflow and clog the system. Excess petals are normal.

Switch from manual drops to the loop + filter setup once you need volume. The recirculating filter means unmixed material keeps trying instead of being wasted.

Feed the Emanator, then dig the crystal

Route Voidbloom onto the top of the Flux Emanator via funnel, filter, or drop. It converts slowly into Fluxite that spawns and grows from the bottom. One Voidbloom converts to one Fluxite.

Keep supplying Voidbloom. The crystal expands as long as there is space. Vertical or open layouts help the circular growth.

Harvest periodically. Once the crystal has grown, dig or shoot it - it has HP and yields the purple Fluxite currency used for tool, weapon, and drone upgrades.

Why: large crystals cause lag if they get huge or run out of placement room. Players have grown semi-circles with ~19-21 block radius before space or performance limits hit.

Choices that affect output

Redsand or petals first?

Prioritize finding and conserving every bit of Redsand. Petals will overflow - build storage first. If Redsand runs out, production stops and petals clog systems.

Manual or loop+filter mixing?

Manual drops work early. Switch to loop + filter for volume so unmixed material recirculates instead of wasting. The top-filter approach uses Voidbloom's low density to separate product from inputs.

Where to place the Emanator?

Place it with maximum clear volume underneath and around. Vertical or open layouts help the circular growth. Harvest before it fills available space or tanks performance.

How much to automate?

Drones help ferry Redsand; filters + funnels handle separation and feeding. Keep the system self-clearing to avoid jams - a clogged mixer stops the whole chain.

Mistakes to avoid

XTrying to mix on conveyors only. Materials must physically fall onto each other - conveyors pushing them together will not combine.
XFeeding Voidbloom anywhere except the top of the Emanator. It only accepts input from the top.
XIgnoring excess petals. Storage overflow breaks the whole chain. Buffer petals in a large box first.
XLetting the Fluxite crystal grow without space or harvesting. Causes lag or stalled production. Harvest periodically.
XAssuming conveyors or simple pushing will combine everything. Gravity drops and filters are required for mixing.
XMining all Redsand without a mixing/feeding setup ready. Redsand is finite - have the mixer and Emanator feed built before stockpiling it.
