NTE Iroi Hybrid Support Build Guide
Convert excess healing into personal damage while keeping full support utility. Speedy Hedgehog 4-piece, CRIT Rate main stat, and Type III module stacking for an Iroi that heals, buffs, and hits hard.
The Hybrid Support Concept
Once your Iroi already provides enough healing and sustain so the team is no longer struggling to survive, you can convert excess healing investment into personal damage contribution while fully retaining her support, buffs, healing, grouping, utility, and revive tools. This hybrid approach is recommended by community creators for well-developed accounts.
Iroi's healing scales with ATK, not HP. By shifting main stats toward CRIT Rate while maintaining ATK substats, you improve both her personal Anima damage and her healing output simultaneously. The key is not dropping ATK focus, just adding CRIT on top.
Build Setup Steps
-
Equip 4x Speedy Hedgehog Cartridge
The foundation for both pure support and hybrid. The 2-piece gives Charge Efficiency +12%. The 4-piece increases all allies' ATK by 15% for 20s after she casts Ultimate (does not stack). Prioritize getting the full 4-piece active first before optimizing any other slot.
-
Maximize Type III Modules
Fill as many Type III modules as possible in the console. Iroi gains a 10% ATK Bonus for each Type III equipped. ATK remains critical because it improves both her healing output and her personal damage. Do not drop Type III focus just because you are going hybrid.
-
Set Main Stat to CRIT Rate
Shift the primary cartridge/module main stat away from pure Healing Bonus or pure ATK% toward CRIT Rate. Once sustain is already comfortable, extra Healing Bonus has diminishing practical returns. CRIT Rate converts her kit (skill, support skill, off-field contributions, and Imagination-powered actions) into higher personal damage without removing any support functions.
-
Optimize Substats in Priority Order
Stack substats in this exact order:
- CRIT Rate - First priority for hybrid damage conversion
- CRIT DMG - Pairs with CRIT Rate for damage scaling
- ATK% - Keeps healing strong while boosting damage
- Universal DMG - Broad damage increase
- Flat ATK - Filler stat, still benefits healing
Keep stacking ATK% and flat ATK as secondary priorities so healing never falls off. Aim for a workable CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG balance while still feeding the Type III ATK bonuses.
-
Maintain Skill and Ultimate Upgrade Priority
Keep Skill and Ultimate as the main upgrade focus. These drive her healing, buffs, Imagination generation, and the team ATK buff from the Speedy Hedgehog 4-piece. Basic Attack and Support Skill can lag behind if resources are limited.
-
Choose the Right Weapon (Arc)
Best The Wrong Gate (Signature, ATK + team DMG buff on heal triggers + personal Anima DMG)F2P Alternatives Youthful Fantasy Clear SkiesThe signature Arc The Wrong Gate remains strongest for hybrid: ATK-focused with team DMG buff on heal triggers plus personal Anima DMG. For F2P or accessible options, Youthful Fantasy and Clear Skies still support the ATK + heal scaling that hybrid relies on.
Key Decision Points
-
When to Switch from Pure Support to Hybrid
Only after you notice overhealing or the team no longer struggles to stay alive in the content you run. If sustain is still tight, stay on pure support (main stat ATK% or Healing Bonus, substats ATK% then Flat ATK, same Speedy Hedgehog + Type III focus).
-
Pure Support vs Hybrid vs Full Offensive
Hybrid is the middle path recommended for developed accounts: enough healing, full support kit, plus meaningful personal damage. Full offensive (Fireflies and the Forest focused) is for later if you want to push her damage further at the cost of support utility.
-
Type III vs Other Modules
Always lean Type III for the character-specific ATK bonus. It benefits both healing and damage roles simultaneously. Do not swap to other module types just because you are building hybrid.
-
Team Context
Hybrid works in the same teams as pure support. Especially Shinku hypercarry/Charge teams with Zero or Hathor, or Blossom setups with Nanally or Zero. Her off-field value and Blossom enhancement remain unchanged in hybrid build.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Stacking more Healing Bonus than needed once sustain is solved. Wastes potential personal damage that CRIT Rate would provide.
- Dropping Type III modules or ATK focus when going hybrid. ATK still fuels healing, so removing it hurts both roles.
- Building pure HP. Healing scales primarily with ATK, not HP. HP stats are wasted on Iroi.
- Neglecting Skill or Ultimate upgrades. These drive healing, buffs, and Imagination generation.
- Switching to hybrid too early on accounts that still wipe or struggle with survival. Pure support is better until sustain is comfortable.
- Ignoring Speedy Hedgehog 4-piece uptime. Ultimate frequency matters for the team ATK buff, so charge generation is critical.
