NTE Hunter Leveling Guide Lv1-50
The most efficient path from level 1 to 50 in Neverness to Everness. Follow these steps to avoid common leveling walls and hit the cap with a strong team.
Core Problem
Players hit walls at levels 18, 24, and 30 because they run out of main story XP and do not know what else gives Hunter XP. This guide shows you exactly what to do at each stage so you never stall.
Step-by-Step Leveling
-
Phase 1
Lv 1-10: Unlock Core Systems Fast
Blast through the Main Story (Episodes). This gives the biggest XP chunks and unlocks mechanics like combat, skills, and reactions. Do not detour yet.
Learn the basics immediately: Cycle Reactions, Dodges/Parries, Ultimates, and Break Gauge. Practice in story fights as you go.
Unlock City Tycoon as soon as it becomes available and start building/upgrading, especially your first Cafe for passive Fons income.
Focus all resources (materials, upgrades) on one strong team only. Ignore pulling or upgrading extras.
Why: Unlocks systems without wasting time and gets you to comfortable combat fast. Spreading resources early is the number one mistake new players make. -
Phase 2
Lv 10-20: Build Economy and Unlock Key Features
Prioritize upgrading Cafes heavily. This is the best long-term passive Fons source in the game.
Progress City Tycoon to unlock Pink Paws Heist.
Buy one basic car for faster travel, then save Fons for your first 2 apartments. Apartments unlock powerful Anomalies: Fluff, Mammon, and Hamster Ball.
Start learning Cartridges and Modules but do not overinvest in early gear. It all gets replaced.
Do side quests, town exploration, and available anomalies as they pop up.
Why: These unlock reliable XP and income loops. Apartments and anomalies are huge quality-of-life and XP boosters that many players skip. -
Phase 3
Lv 20-30: The Big Push (Most Common Sticking Point)
Push City Tycoon to Lv 18 to get a free S-Rank Chiz. Continue to Lv 21 for her Signature ARC. This is high priority.
Clear all side/blue quests, Exploration Guide tasks, anomalies, and map exploration. Aim for 90-100% completion where possible.
Use Character Pixels on high-XP anomaly zones and rabbit holes.
Spend stamina daily on content that gives Hunter XP: dailies, bosses.
At certain milestones (around 20/30/40/50), complete World Elevation/Appraisal quests to uncap your Hunter Level.
Why: After the main story, these are the main XP sources. Many players hit walls here without Tycoon and full exploration. Aim for level 30 as soon as possible for legendary drops and better farming. -
Phase 4
Lv 30-40: Transition to Farming
Start farming Legendary Cartridges and Modules in opened dungeons.
Build your 2nd team for content like Beyond the Rails.
Focus on correct main stats first before worrying about substats.
Continue Tycoon progression and daily XP sources.
Why: Level 30 unlocks the real daily loop. Now optimize builds while still gaining Hunter XP. Main stats matter more than substats at this stage. -
Phase 5
Lv 40-50: Optimization and Endgame Prep
Farm Cartridges and Modules until main teams have strong main stats, then chase substats.
Push City Tycoon toward Lv 45 for full Chiz awakening and ARC.
Fine-tune teams for endgame content.
Max skills, gear, and everything on your core roster.
Why: Hit the level cap with functional teams ready for harder content. City Tycoon at 45 is the final major power spike.
Key Decision Points
- Resource focus: Always invest in 1 team early, then expand to 2. Spreading thin stalls both Hunter Level and power progression.
- Stamina and Pixels: Use on dailies, high-XP anomalies, and Tycoon. Save some for pushes but do not hoard forever.
- When to explore vs. story: Story first for unlocks, then full clear side content, exploration, and Tycoon.
- Appraisal Level quests: Do them when available. They are tied to Hunter milestones and uncap progression.
- Gear farming: Minimal before level 30. Get serious at and after level 30 when legendary drops become available.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Ignoring City Tycoon, Cafes, and apartments. These give massive passive XP and income that you are leaving on the table.
- Over-upgrading every new character or early gear. Resources are scarce early on. Pick one team and commit.
- Skipping dailies, anomalies, or exploration after the story. This is where many players stagnate at levels 24-33.
- Wasting Fons on cars or luxuries early instead of apartments and Tycoon upgrades.
- Not doing Appraisal and world elevation quests when eligible. These gate your level cap.
