Hell Let Loose Vietnam Launch Map List
Six maps at launch, all jungle and river heavy. Hue is outskirts not the city. Khe Sanh and Rung Sat are roadmap. Here is the full list, what each plays like, and which to queue first.
Core problem: players keep asking "is that all?" and expecting Hue City or Saigon on day one. The launch pool is six jungle- and river-heavy maps. Huế Outskirts is the closest thing to built-up terrain, and it is outskirts plus industry, not street-to-street citadel fighting. Know the six names, match the map to how you want to fight, and set expectations with your squad.
The Six Launch Maps
1How to Use the List In-Game
-
1
Open the server browser and read the map name before you click Join.
Community servers shuffle; official servers rotate. If you only played betas, you already know Thanh Hóa Bridge and Đắk Tô Airfield. Everything else is new terrain.
-
2
Match the map to how you want to fight.
Want crossings and boats? Thanh Hóa. Want helos plus CQB? Vạn Tường. Want readable open fights? Đắk Tô Airfield. Want industrial port? Cam Ranh. The map decides the fight more than your loadout.
-
3
If you are new, queue Đắk Tô Airfield or Thanh Hóa Bridge first.
Those two were in public tests, so more players know the flow. Đắk Tô is the open airfield layout people use to learn vehicles and sightlines.
-
4
Spend one match each on the four new maps just learning water and tree lines.
Do not hold mid on your first Vạn Tường or Quảng Ngãi match. Walk the rivers, find the caves, learn the flank routes.
-
5
Do not wait for Hue City, Saigon, or Ia Drang in this rotation.
Devs and players both treat those as future content. Huế Outskirts is the Tet-adjacent map you have now.
2Key Decision Points
Common Mistakes
- Thinking "Hue" means Hue City. It is Huế Outskirts. People keep asking where the city is. It is outskirts plus industry, not the citadel.
- Assuming the beta map list is the full list. Beta and playtest only showed Thanh Hóa Bridge and Đắk Tô Airfield. The other four dropped at launch.
- Counting Khe Sanh as a launch map. It is roadmap, post-launch. Same for Rung Sat, Hue City, and Saigon.
- Playing every map like WW2 HLL fields. Canopy, rivers, and tunnels change garrison and flank routes. Walking the obvious road on Thanh Hóa or Vạn Tường is how squads get deleted.
- Ignoring performance by map. Players specifically call out Huế Outskirts for shimmering and jagged foliage on console. If a map is unreadable, swap server or map rather than forcing settings all night.
