What Town Repair is about

The Town Repair questline is the central progression system of Fields of Mistria. You meet Adeline, donate required resources to project boxes, and raise Town Renown to unlock successive projects. In 1.0 the renown cap is raised to 100 and the final stages including the Bell Tower are now available. Completing the questline unlocks new areas, shops, and story progression.

Town Repair mechanics

1Meet Adeline to start the Town Repair questline. She introduces the system and guides you through early projects.
2Donate required resources to project boxes. Each project has specific material requirements. Walk up to the donation box and contribute the needed items.
3Raise Town Renown by completing projects, quests, and community tasks. Higher renown unlocks the next stages of repair.
4Complete each project to unlock new areas, shops, NPCs, or story beats. Projects are sequential but resource gathering can be done in parallel.

6 Bell Tower (1.0 Finale)

The final Town Repair project added in 1.0. Requires Town Renown at or near 100. Completing the Bell Tower finishes the questline and unlocks the full story conclusion.

Materials: Significant quantities of wood, stone, ingots, tesserae, and late-game resources
Later projects require significantly more materials. The Bell Tower especially demands large quantities. Start stockpiling wood, stone, ingots, and tesserae early in your playthrough.

Resource management choices

Gather in parallel or focus?

Gather resources for multiple projects simultaneously while doing other activities. Do not wait until a project unlocks to start collecting its materials.

Prioritize town repair or romance?

Both are endgame content. Town repair needs bulk materials; romance needs specific gifts and mines progression. Do both in parallel rather thansequentially.

Sell or donate materials?

Keep key materials (wood, stone, ingots, tesserae) for donations. Sell surplus or non-essential items. Check project requirements before selling anything.

When to push for Bell Tower?

Wait until you have a strong resource stockpile and Town Renown near 100. The Bell Tower is the most expensive project. Do not start it unprepared.

Mistakes to avoid

XUnder-preparing materials for later projects. Late-stage repairs need large quantities of multiple material types. Start stockpiling from day one.
XSelling materials needed for donations. Wood, stone, ingots, and tesserae are always needed. Check upcoming project requirements before selling surplus.
XWaiting to gather until a project unlocks. Gather in parallel with other activities. Having materials ready lets you complete projects immediately when they unlock.
XIgnoring Town Renown. Renown gates project unlocks. Complete community tasks and quests alongside donating materials to keep renown rising.
XStarting the Bell Tower unprepared. It is the most expensive project. Wait until you have near-100 renown and a full resource stockpile.
