Special candidates
Caldarus and Seridia romance
Caldarus (Dragon)
Becomes available after deeper mines progression (Fire Seal and related story quests). He starts with higher hearts than normal candidates. Can be dated, though locations are currently limited to his woods area. Has unique affectionate dialogue including calling the player "mate." Widely loved in community posts. Treat like other romanceables: talk, gift, reach thresholds, choose romance at 8 hearts.
Seridia (Priestess)
Long-anticipated as a romance option and confirmed romanceable in 1.0 alongside the original candidates. Treat like other romanceables: talk daily, gift preferred items, reach heart thresholds, choose the romantic path at 8 hearts.
Key decisions
Choices that matter
Which NPC to romance?
Focus on 1-2 candidates early. Consider which ones have accessible loved gifts for your playstyle. Caldarus requires mines progression; others are available from the start.
Romance or best friend?
At 8 hearts you choose. Romance leads to dating, marriage, and children. Best friend is a valid alternative if you want the heart events without commitment.
When to propose?
After seeing all 10-heart events. The ring re-triggers them until proposal. Once you propose, marriage is permanent for that save.
Have children?
Fully optional. Wait for the Mystical Feather cutscene weeks after the wedding, then decide with your spouse. Both paths are supported.
