Download safely: the game is free — get it from the developer's release thread (linked above) or their itch.io page. Skip random APK mirrors, paid repacks and "unlimited" versions; anything charging money for it isn't the real project. The mobile build is also flagged as not fully tested, so expect rough edges there.

Passive skills

Ability-style passives that shape the run — pick them to support the build you're aiming for.

Multiple attacks

Stack several moves at once; attacks fire automatically, positioning is your job.

Burst attacks

Ultimate moves unique to the Burst system — the screen-clearing payoff of a build.

Evolutions

Your Pokemon evolves mid-run as it levels — power spikes arrive Pokemon-style.

Build synergies

Attacks, passives and effects combine; the same Pokemon supports very different builds depending on picks.

Unlockables

88+ playable Pokemon, unlocked by completing specific challenges with specific characters — not all available up front.

Meta loop: finish challenges → unlock new Pokemon → new builds become possible. An in-game leaderboard tracks your best runs against other players.

Common questions

Is this the same as PokeSurvivor?

No — easy confusion. PokeSurvivor (by JPTER78) is a separate fan project that runs in a web browser. Pokemon Survivor Burst is a downloadable game by ClessioTV with its own modes and progression. Saves and accounts don't transfer between them.

Is it official / does it cost anything?

Neither — it's a free, non-commercial fan project built on Pokemon Essentials, not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company. If a site charges for it, that's a repack scam.

How do I unlock more Pokemon?

Through runs — specific challenges tied to specific Pokemon unlock new playable characters. Check each Pokemon's unlock condition in-game and target it deliberately rather than grinding randomly.

What's the current version?

The project completed version 9.0 with the next update slated for late October 2026 — more Pokemon, skills, modes and build combos are planned. The release thread always carries the latest build.
