Avoid fake downloads: there is no Eclipse Animator "download file" anywhere — no .rbxm, no mirror, no Discord attachment. The plugin is claimed once on the Creator Store listing above and then loads inside Roblox Studio. Any site offering a separate download is not from the developers.

How to install it

  1. 1
    Open the Creator Store listing

Use the official link above (asset ID 86116556258301) while logged into the Roblox account you build with.

  2. 2
    Claim the plugin

Hit the get/buy button on the listing — that's the entire "download". Nothing saves to your computer.

  3. 3
    Open it in Roblox Studio

Find it under the Plugins tab. If Studio was already open when you claimed it, restart Studio for it to appear.

Price status: Eclipse Animator launched free on October 14, 2026, and the free window quietly ended a few days later — the store has listed it at $19.99 since around October 20. If you claimed it while it was free, it stays in your inventory.

What it can do

The feature list on the store page is long — here's what the headline items actually mean.

FeatureWhat it does
IK / FK toggleSwitch a limb between inverse and forward kinematics while posing — feet stay planted when you drag the hips
Graph editorShape the easing between keyframes with curves instead of flat interpolation
Animation layersStack motion in separate layers — edit a wave on top of a walk without touching the walk
Motion pathsDraw the path a part travels so you can check arcs and spacing
Dynamic parenter + unparentingRe-attach a part mid-animation — the classic "hand a prop between hands" problem
Live collaborationAnimate in the same file with other people at the same time
Camera toolsLive camera previewer with targets and part attachment, plus optional Blender-style viewport navigation
Physics & ragdollsLet physics drive secondary motion and ragdoll poses
LibrarySaved poses, animations and faces you can re-use across projects
Module ExporterConvert animations and cutscenes into scriptable module files
Blender pipelineImport a Blender armature and export animations both ways — a free companion add-on (Blender 4.2+) comes from the same developers
Grease pencilDraw notes and timing marks over the viewport

Keybinds worth learning first

The workflow borrows Blender's vocabulary — G grabs, R rotates.

KeyAction
VInsert keyframe
XDelete keyframe
G / RGrab / rotate, Blender-style
TSwitch axis
YToggle global / local space
J / MScale keyframes / split keyframes
Ctrl + BOpen camera view
LShow camera grid
BToggle onion skin

Eclipse Animator vs Moon Animator 2

The question everyone asks — they're different plugins by different developers, both paid.

Eclipse AnimatorMoon Animator 2
Developerriftkuro, with Sevenxsixx
On store sinceOctober 2026February 2020
Price$19.99 (had a short free launch window)Paid, goes on sale periodically
MaturityDays old — the listing itself warns "expect some bugs"Years of updates, established workflow
Standout extrasLive collaboration, Blender armature import + two-way export, Module ExporterThe reference plugin most tutorials assume
Rule of thumb: try Eclipse if you want IK, layers and the Blender pipeline, or you animate with a team. Stay on Moon Animator 2 if you already own it, have a deadline, or your files are built around its workflow.
