Modern Warfare 4's extraction mode is playable before launch. DMZ Early Access opened October 20 — here's who gets in, how, and what's actually live.
DMZ Early Access is live now. Anyone who digitally pre-ordered or pre-purchased MW4 — Standard or Vault Edition — can deploy into DMZ as of October 20, three days ahead of the October 23 full launch. Works on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Battle.net, Steam, and Switch 2.
Disc/physical pre-orders do not unlock early access. Buying digitally today still grants DMZ access immediately — the window stays open until the October 23 launch makes DMZ free for all owners.

Is DMZ Early Access a beta? No — it's the full mode launching alongside the game, opened early to pre-order players. Progress carries over.
Does progress reset at launch? No — Activision confirmed early access progression persists.
Can I get in without pre-ordering? Not for early access — everyone else gets DMZ on October 23.
