The daily Pokemon games, ranked

Each resets at midnight with the same challenge for every player — compare results with friends.

1
Daily battle

Daily Red

Every player gets the same randomly drawn team of six level-100 Pokemon, and you battle them against Red's classic Mt. Silver team. The only daily Pokemon game that's an actual battle rather than a guessing puzzle — win, then share your result.

2
Daily grid puzzle

PokeDoku

A 3×3 grid of crossing criteria — regions, types, catch rates, colors. Fill each cell with a Pokemon satisfying both its row and column. Obscure picks score uniqueness points, and community creators regularly guest-design the categories.

3
Daily guessing game

Pokedle

Wordle rules, Pokedex knowledge: guess the mystery Pokemon, and each wrong guess reveals shared attributes — type, generation, evolution stage, color, habitat. Unlimited guesses, plus a TCG mode that shows a blurred card. Correct answers fill your Pokedex.

4
Daily guessing game

Squirdle

Eight guesses to name the daily Pokemon, with feedback on generation, types, height and weight relative to the answer. Stricter than Pokedle — the guess limit makes every pick count.

Daily silhouette

Who's That Pokemon?

The classic silhouette reveal as a daily game — name the shadowed Pokemon in 8 guesses. The lightest lift of the five; good for a two-minute coffee-break solve.

Which one should you play?

Want an actual battle

Daily Red — the only entry that's Pokemon gameplay rather than trivia. Same team for everyone, so strategies compare directly.

Want the deepest puzzle

PokeDoku — obscurity scoring rewards Pokedex depth, and the guest-designed grids keep it fresh.

Want relaxed Wordle-style

Pokedle — unlimited guesses mean you always finish, and the TCG mode is a second daily puzzle in one.

Want a real challenge

Squirdle — 8-guess limit punishes lazy picks; the stat-based feedback rewards knowing height/weight tiers.

Play them all: each game resets daily and takes minutes, so the common routine is all five back to back — then compare scores in the group chat. See also our Daily Red guide for battle tips on today's team.

Common questions

Are daily Pokemon games free?

Yes — all five are free fan-made browser games. None are made or endorsed by Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company.

Do I need an account?

No signup needed for any of them — open the page and today's puzzle is ready.

When does each daily puzzle reset?

All reset at midnight, though each site uses its own timezone. Miss a day and that puzzle is gone — the shared daily challenge is the whole point.

Is there a pokemon daily game for battles?

Daily Red is the one — a full six-versus-six battle against Red's team, with the same randomly drawn squad for every player each day.
