The Core Issue

Warframe has hundreds of resources across dozens of nodes. Most players waste time farming the wrong spots or spreading sessions across too many goals. Community consensus: pick your target resource, load the right node, and loop efficiently.

Best Nodes by Resource

Resource Best Node
Endo Arbitrations
Axi Relics Hepit, Void
Neurodes Orokin Derelict / Eris
Nano Spores Saturn / Eris
Orokin Cells Saturn / Ceres Dark Sectors
Plastids Saturn / Phobos / Uranus
Polymer Bundle Mercury / Venus / Uranus
Alloy Plate Jupiter / Sedna / Venus
Tellurium Ophelia, Uranus
Circuits Venus / Ceres
Argon Crystals Any Void mission

Open World Farming Routes

Cetus Wisps - Eidolon Plains (Night Only)

Hit all Wisp spawn points (near water bodies), then leave the instance and re-enter for fresh spawns. Use Archwing or a fast frame (Volt, Gauss) to loop faster. Wisps only spawn at night - check the day/night timer before entering.

Toroids - Orb Vallis

Kill Corpus enemies around three toroid spawn points: Temple of Profit, Spaceport, Research Caches. Use Smeeta Kavat for double drop procs. The type of Toroid dropped depends on location.

Deimos Resources - Cambion Drift

Use Xaku or Nekros for container farming. Reset instance between loops. Vault fishing and mining are separate systems with their own efficient routes - check community resources for specific vault items.

Loot Frame Setup

Having the right frame massively increases drop rates. Use one of these as your dedicated farming frame:

Nekros (Desecrate)

Extra drops from corpses on any mission. Most versatile loot frame. Works everywhere.

Khora (Pilfering Strangledome)

Extra drops from ensnared enemies. Excellent for defense and survival.

Hydroid (Pilfering Swarm)

Works well on assassination and defense. Good alternative when Khora isn't available.

Limbo / Xaku

Container-heavy maps (Void, Deimos). Useful when container drops are the priority.

Key Decision Points

Solo vs Squad?

Solo for speed on Captures and Assassinations - you control the pace. Squad for endless missions (Defense/Survival) to share loot and clear faster. Most farming is faster in a coordinated squad.

Endless vs Short missions?

Short missions (Capture, Assassination) for specific drops and fast resets - great for rare one-per-mission resources. Endless for bulk volume - extract at a good rotation (C rotation on defense, 20+ min on survival).

Steel Path worth it?

Only after solid gear. Steel Path boosts drop rates but enemies are significantly harder. Start on normal star chart and move to Steel Path when you can clear missions quickly without dying.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

x

Ignoring containers and crates

Many rare resources (Argon Crystals, Neurodes, Orokin Cells) drop from containers more reliably than enemies. Destroy every container you pass.

x

Farming without a plan

Random nodes waste time. Pick one target resource per session and commit to the best node for it.

x

Not resetting instances for fresh spawns

Especially critical for Cetus Wisps and open world farming. Leave and re-enter for fresh resource spawns.

x

Bulk farming Argon Crystals

Argon decays in 24 hours. Only farm the exact amount you need right before crafting, or you lose them all.

x

Skipping Smeeta Kavat or boosters for big sessions

Smeeta's Charm double-drop proc is massive for big farming sessions. Always bring Smeeta when grinding rare resources.
