Super Battle Golf Frozen Fairway Update Maps
How to play the Frozen Fairway update in Super Battle Golf. Ice physics, wind, new items (Freeze Bomb, Rocket Driver), hole-in-one routes for Base Jump and Bullseye, and mistakes that ruin runs.
Frozen Fairway added 18 new holes (9 Snow + 9 Coast) plus wind, ice, jump pads, Freeze Bomb, and Rocket Driver. Old muscle-memory lines die on ice and in wind. Players want to finish first without sliding off the map, and they want the two new hole-in-ones.
Set Up for Practice
Turn wind off while learning routes
In Match Setup, set Wind to Off while you learn routes. Default is Low. Community HIO clips and Steam comments treat wind-off as the only consistent practice setting.
Use the difficulty label to queue specific holes
Note each hole's difficulty label in the Courses tab. Use that to queue Snow or Coast holes you keep dying on.
Prioritize mobility item boxes
Expect mobility item boxes on many updated Coast holes and some Snow holes. They only drop movement items. Prioritize them over fighting for a random briefcase if you are behind.
Play Ice Like a Slope, Not Grass
Do not plant and force a hero full-power line
Ice keeps your momentum. A slightly late tap or a bump sends you and the ball past the green or off a ledge.
Hit checkpoints first
Water and cliffs punish greedy carries more now because Freeze Bomb, knockback, and wind stack.
Use frozen players on inclines
If you or an opponent is frozen on an incline, they slide. Community clips show frozen players sliding into water, off cliffs, or even into the cup and resetting. Use that. Do not stand downhill of a frozen body.
Stay wide in chaotic lobbies
New items plus ice create accidental resets. Stay wide when the lobby is chaotic.
New Items: Freeze Bomb and Rocket Driver
Freeze Bomb
- Freeze the leader at a choke or on a slope so they slide out of position
- Freeze a ball or cart to stall a finish
- Throw it into water to make a temporary ice platform for a route others do not have
Rocket Driver
- One swing can go to ~200% power. It launches the ball, other players, or you
- Use it for long carries and comebacks on open Snow and Coast lines
- Mistime it and you yeet yourself off the hole. Treat it as a highlight tool, not a default club
Key Decisions
| Situation | Better Choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Exposed long shot + any wind | Shorter, straighter shot to a checkpoint | Wind ruins old 100% lines |
| Ice approach with people nearby | Scan, then finish; do not sprint the last meters | Freeze and mines at chokes |
| Behind on a jump-pad Coast hole | Take the pad or mobility box | Pads are the new intended skip |
| Need a platform over water | Freeze Bomb the water | Temporary ice is a real route |
| Private lobby or achievement hunting | Wind Off + Base Jump or Bullseye | Only two new maps have reliable HIOs |
The Two New Hole-in-Ones
Community consensus is only Base Jump and Bullseye give repeatable aces. Do these with wind off.
Base Jump (most consistent)
- Line up on the center of the white beacon
- Set angle to 11 degrees
- Shoot 100% power
Alternates players confirmed: 13 degrees / 98%, 34 degrees, or 39 degrees. Front-row tee is the tested one. Airhorns and body-blocks still ruin it. Walk up and knock griefers off the cliff before they swing.
Bullseye (less consistent)
- Aim about 13 degrees
- Power 97-100% (99% is a confirmed make)
Expect misses. Do not burn a whole lobby session only on this one.
Common Mistakes
- Keeping wind on while practicing new lines, then blaming the map.
- Full-power hero shots on ice.
- Standing downhill of a frozen player.
- Hoarding Freeze Bomb and Rocket Driver instead of using them at chokes.
- Ignoring checkpoints to chase a shortcut that ice and wind will dump in water.
- Assuming every new hole has an ace. Players who tested the set say only those two do.
