Breathedge 2: How to Get Wires with the Probe
Extract Wires from electrical panels using the Probe. Grab white panels, use the pincer interaction, and stop trying to cut or smash them.
Goal: Get Wires in Breathedge 2. Wires feel scarce because players keep walking past the right objects. You do not farm loose cable ends like Breathedge 1. You pull Wires out of electrical panels with the Probe (players also call it the pincers or teeth thing). The mismatch is what Steam demo players kept hitting: they saw panels everywhere, tried to cut them, assumed they needed a new tool, then ran out of Wires for phone-booth, Twister, and warmer crafts.
What to Look For

1Exact Steps
- 1Equip the Probe.
- 2Fly up to a white or already-opened electrical panel until the grab or interact prompt appears.
- 3Grab the panel first. Do not hit it with the Crowbar or Cutter.
- 4Use the Probe on the grabbed panel (the pincer or teeth interaction).
Wires come out of the panel, not from smashing the box.
- 5Repeat on every white panel along the route you are already traveling.
One player who thought Wires were finite went back after learning this and suddenly had more than they could spend.

- Cut vs grab: If you are swinging a Cutter at a panel and nothing useful drops, stop. That is the wrong tool for Wires. Grab first, then Probe.
- White panel vs rubber cover: If grab and Probe does nothing, you grabbed the wrong cover. Move to the next white box.
- Spend now or bank: Early repairs need Wires (phone booth needs 2, later warmers can eat 4 at once). Strip panels on the path before you commit to a deep Depot branch.

- Treating Wires like Breathedge 1 beam-end loot and ignoring panels. The source is panels, not loose cable ends.
- Trying to cut the panel open instead of grabbing it. Cutter is the wrong tool. Grab first, then use the Probe.
- Burning the first stack on optional crafts, then hitting a warmer that wants 4 Wires. Bank some before you spend.
- Leaving the starting area without checking panels you already flew past. They are everywhere around the train and station outskirts.
