WoW Arena in Your Browser
Arena of Champions is a WoW-style arena game built to run in the browser itself — open the page, click play, and you're in a town full of players queueing rated 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. No client, no launcher, no install.
Browser requirements: a desktop browser with WebGL — Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari all work. It's a 3D game, so an integrated GPU is fine but phones/tablets aren't the target: movement is WASD plus mouse.
How the browser version works
- 1One click, one load
Hitting Play downloads the game once — after that it's cached and boots in seconds on return visits.
- 2Guest or account
Play as Guest starts instantly with a random name; a free account (on the same screen) keeps rating, heroes and friends between sessions.
- 3Same game as the client
There's an optional Windows download on the login screen, but the browser build has every feature — same servers, same queues, same arenas.
- 4Connection notes
The game shows a latency readout under the FPS counter — green is good. If the server is restarting for an update, the game says so plainly and reconnects after.
What you're queueing into
Classic arena maps
Nagrand, Ruins of Lordaeron and Blade's Edge — pillars, bridges and graveyard LoS breaks picked at random each match.
9 classes, real specs
Warrior, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Hunter, Paladin, Warlock, Druid and Shaman — each with the arena toolkit WoW players expect (trinket Medallion included).
A town, not a menu
Between queues you walk a Barrens-crater town: practice dummies, a leaderboard signpost, duel challenges and live spectating at the Arena Herald.
1500 and climbing
Every bracket starts you at 1500 rating with its own top-50 board. Duels and unrated matches run alongside if you just want reps.
FAQ
Can you really play WoW arena in a browser?
Not Blizzard's WoW — but Arena of Champions is a fan-made WoW-style arena game purpose-built for the browser, with the same queue-fight-climb loop.
Does the browser version need a download?
No install at all — the game streams into the page. An optional Windows client exists on the login screen for players who prefer it.
Why is the first load slow?
It's a full 3D game — the first visit downloads the assets (tens of MB). Later visits load from cache and start much faster.
Does it work on a Chromebook?
Yes — anything that runs a modern desktop Chrome does, since nothing installs locally. School or work networks that block game servers may still refuse the connection.
