Wanderdle
A daily pixel adventure - an Oregon Trail-style road journey where everyone in the world gets the same quest each day. You're dealt a character and a trait, then walk leagues of road managing rations, gold and morale through storms, bandits, toll bridges and the occasional ogre.
How a day's quest works
- 1Take today's character
Each daily quest deals you a named traveler with a class and a trait - like an Archer who is Night-eyed and spots trouble early. The same card is dealt to every player that day.
- 2Walk the road
The party auto-travels toward the next town, measured in leagues. You control the pace: Steady is safe, Hard March covers ground faster at a cost.
- 3Manage three meters
Rations feed the party, Gold pays for tolls and markets, and Morale keeps everyone moving. Half rations stretch supplies but drain morale - watch the 0-100 meter.
- 4Handle what the road throws at you
Random stops: fights (wolves, goblins, elite brutes), events (toll bridges, cursed shrines, wounded strangers, a bard's wager) and town visits to restock. Recruit party members at inns and forks in the road.
- 5Compare your day
Finished quests post to the leaderboard - everyone played the same road, so scores are directly comparable. Past quests stay playable from the menu.
What the road contains
| Threat | What to do |
|---|---|
| Fights | Wolves, goblin scouts, road bandits and elite brutes like the Ogre. Bigger party = safer fights. |
| Toll Bridge | Costs gold or forces a detour - keep a few coins banked. |
| Storms | Weather slows the march and batters morale - shelter in a town when you can. |
| Cursed Shrine | High risk, high reward - touch it only with a strong party. |
| Towns | Millbrook, Brambleford, Rimeholt and more - restock rations, recruit, heal. |
| Regions | The road runs from the Meadowlands through Frostpeak Pass to the Dragonmarch - later regions are meaner. |
FAQ
Is Wanderdle free?
Yes - free in the browser with no download. Signing in is optional and only needed to save progress and appear on the leaderboard.
Is it really the same quest for everyone?
Yes - the quest number seeds the road, so all players get the same map, events and deals that day. That's what makes the leaderboard meaningful.
Can I replay past days?
Yes - the start screen has a Past quests option, so you can catch up on roads you missed.
How long is a quest?
A day on the road runs roughly 5-15 minutes depending on how far the next town is and how the events go.
