Uncommet
Gamefinity's free daily rare-answer trivia game. Eight prompts a day — a country in Africa, a Pixar film, a Supreme Court justice — and the rarer your real answer, the further your rocket flies. Name what nobody else will.

Uncommet only runs on its own site — one numbered mission a day, free for guests. The day's set is identical for every player, and top scores are verified by replaying runs on Gamefinity's servers before they count on the leaderboard.
How a mission works
One run takes about five minutes. The whole day is a single journey from Earth to deep space.

Read the prompt, then type a real answer
Each of the 8 cards asks for one item from a closed set. Your answer paints itself down the side of your rocket as you type — nothing is suggested while you write, so the game never hands you a pick.

Launch before the 25-second clock runs out
Enter or LAUNCH sends it. A name not on the list is refused and you can try again while the clock runs; a close typo triggers a "Did you mean…?" you can confirm with one more Enter.

3
Score by rarity, 10 to 100 points
Rarity is measured from how often people look each answer up on Wikipedia and how many languages cover it — the answer everyone gives scores 10, the one almost nobody thinks of scores 100.

Ride your running total to the worlds
Each answer is a burn that pushes the rocket from wherever the last one left it. Landmarks from the Eiffel Tower to Pluto mark your total — a perfect 800 meets Voyager 1, a light-day out.
The journey — every landmark
Your running total after each burn decides where the rocket parks. Every landing carries one true fact.
| World | Total points needed |
|---|---|
| The Moon | 186 |
| Mars | 273 |
| Europa (Jupiter's moon) | 367 |
| Titan (Saturn's moon) | 454 |
| Pluto | 611 |
| Voyager 1 — perfect mission | 800 |
How to actually fly far
Skip your first thought
Your instant answer is everyone's instant answer. Give it a beat and reach for your second or third idea — that's usually where the burn is.
Think small and quiet
The less famous the name, the bigger the score. Regional, early or lesser-known members of the set beat the flagship pick every time.
A safe answer beats no answer
Clock dying? Launch anything you're sure is on the list — even the most common answer scores 10, and 0 moves nothing.
Don't sweat the spelling
Type what you know and press Enter — near-misses trigger "Did you mean…?" and alternate names and spellings count automatically.
FAQ
Is Uncommet free?
Yes — the daily mission is free and needs no account; guests appear on the leaderboard. A free sign-in keeps your history and stats across devices.
How often can I play?
Once per mission — one a day, per account and per browser. Every leaderboard score is a first try, verified by replaying the run on the server.
When does the next mission arrive?
A new numbered mission opens at midnight New York time (ET), same prompts for every player worldwide.
Can I pause or look an answer up?
The clock never stops while a question is open — switching tabs leaves the question waiting with whatever time remained.
What is Today's Comet?
One secret hand-picked answer per prompt. Name it and the comet flies in next to your rocket — it doesn't add points, it's a bonus find for deep knowledge.
