The Hole — the horror game
Searching "The Hole" gets confusing fast — there are three different horror games with that name. The one going viral in playthroughs is the Bober Bros PS1-style apartment horror.
Which one do you want? If you saw a YouTuber play it — neighbor drilling through the wall, peering into holes, domestic dread instead of jump scares — that's [Bober Bros] The Hole, a ~$2.99 Steam release. A free same-name game and an itch.io build also exist (compared below).

| The Hole (BuffNerd) | Free fantasy-horror dark comedy — wake up with no memory, solve puzzles, escape a strange presence. Older, 2022. | Free |
| The Hole (itch.io) | Indie point-and-click PSX-style horror still in development. | Free download |
About [Bober Bros] The Hole
- 1Short and dense
A 30–60 minute experience — designed to be finished in one sitting, and most players do.
- 2Dread, not jump scares
The horror is voyeuristic and domestic: peepholes into your neighbor's life revealing something deeply wrong. Content warning for disturbing domestic themes.
- 3Story-first
No combat or fail states of consequence — the draw is watching the situation unravel. Achievements are trivially easy if you care about 100%.
- 4Endings
The narrative runs to a grim conclusion rather than branching choices — worth finishing blind before reading any plot explanation, it lands harder.
