Snake: Blockade Legends
A snake game where every pickup leaves a permanent, fatal stone block behind - the arena tightens with every coin you take. Fill the frenzy bar for double points and survive with four abilities.
How the blockade works
- 1Every pickup leaves a stone block
Coins and diamonds are points - but each one drops a permanent block in your path. Blocks never fade, and they're fatal. The arena gets tighter every single grab.
- 2Fill the frenzy bar
Keep collecting to charge frenzy, then ride it for double points - the trade-off is you're walling yourself in faster while it's active.
- 3Spend abilities to survive
Four spells on cooldown do the real work: summon a hatchling to fetch treasure for you, drop a pair of portals, slow time, or pass through your own body in wraith form.
- 4Unlock six mythic worlds
Dragon, Garden Worm, SS Space Snake, Wadjet, Medusa and Jormungandr - each world has its own look, sound and ability set.
The four abilities
| Key | Ability | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Summon Hatchling | Sends a hatchling to fetch the nearest treasure and carry it home - it won't fly again until you take one yourself |
| 2 | Create Portal | Drops a portal under you (two charges) - fly into either one to reappear at the other. Going back before your tail is through kills you |
| 3 | Slow Time | The world crawls for five seconds while you still turn at full speed - your panic button for sealed corridors |
| 4 | Wraith Form | For five seconds you pass through your own body - closed map edges and stone blocks still kill you |
Survival tips
Think two moves ahead
A coin that's easy to grab now might seal a corridor you'll need in thirty seconds. Route around your future blocks, not just the current ones.
Diamonds fade - plan for them
Diamonds are worth five points but disappear if left too long inside the red brackets. Weigh the detour before committing.
Save Wraith for the wall-in
Wraith Form is the only way through your own body - hold it for the moment the arena closes, not for convenience.
Portals are exits, not shortcuts
Drop a pair early in a chokepoint and keep one end open. Two portals placed in panic are two portals wasted.
FAQ
Is Snake: Blockade Legends free?
Yes - free to play in your browser, nothing to install.
Can I play on mobile?
It's designed for desktop play with a keyboard - arrows or WASD for movement plus number keys for abilities. Touch screens aren't the intended experience.
Do blocks ever disappear?
No - every pickup's block is permanent for the run. That's the whole game: greed makes the maze.
Who made it?
The game is by Little Loop Games - an arcade take on snake where the board itself is the enemy.
