What people use a Pokémon roleta for

Nuzlocke & randomizer runs

Spin to decide which route encounter you're allowed to keep, or to build a challenge team you'd never pick yourself.

Draft and party games

Assign random Pokémon to friends for trivia, drawing prompts, "rate this Pokémon" debates or fantasy draft nights.

Random team builder

Spin six times and play the next showdown or in-game run with exactly what the wheel gives you.

Gen-restricted spins

Limit the roleta to one generation when your challenge is set in a single region - no out-of-dex results.

How the roleta works

  1. 1
    Pick a generation range

All 1,025 Pokémon by default, or lock the wheel to one generation.

  2. 2
    Spin

A random National Dex number in your range is drawn, then the Pokémon's name, sprite and types are pulled in.

  3. 3
    Spin again for teams

Repeat until you have your six - or use each spin as a single decision.

FAQ

What does "roleta pokemon" mean?

"Roleta" is Portuguese/Spanish for roulette - a roleta pokemon is a random Pokémon spinner. The search is huge in Brazil, but the tool works for everyone.

Does it include every Pokémon?

All 1,025 species in the National Pokédex through Generation 9, selectable as one pool or per generation.

Can I spin for a random type instead?

The wheel lands on species, not types - but every result shows its types, so spinning until you hit a target type works fine.

Is it really random?

Each spin draws a uniform random Dex number inside your chosen range - no weighting, no repeats prevented.
