Game modes

Standard (with bots)

The default mode pads lobbies with bots to keep the pace arcade-fast. Their ranks in the elimination feed reflect how they actually played, and a real player joining swaps one bot out.

SOLO (NO BOTS)

Purist mode added in the October update - no bots in the match at all. Slower to fill, much harder to farm.

TRIOS

Three-player squads added in update 1.0.9 - queue with two friends or fill with randoms.

Midnight Candy Rush

The Halloween limited-time mode - a crate-loot fight layered on top of the normal BR loop for the seasonal event.

    Helmet before everything

    It blocks the first headshot. Landing without grabbing one means any decent shot deletes you on the spot.

    Watch the elimination feed

    Bot ranks in the feed tell you how dangerous each kill actually was - useful for reading how many real players are left.

    Contest airdrops

    Airdrops can contain the Hunting Rifle - the strongest single-item power spike in the game.

    The pace is arcade-fast: whoever wins the early loot race usually controls the mid-game.

FAQ

Is R1 Battle Royale free?

Yes - free inside Roblox on PC, phone, tablet and console. There's an optional Battle Pass but nothing you need to win costs money.

Are the bots a problem?

They're there to keep matches fast, not to fake player counts - the developer says so directly. A real player joining removes a bot, and SOLO (NO BOTS) mode exists if you want none at all.

How do I redeem codes?

From the lobby, open the codes menu, type the code exactly as written and confirm. Codes are case-sensitive.

What are Skulls and Crowns?

The game's two currencies - skulls and crowns buy crates and cosmetics. The R1LAUNCH code gives you a starting stack of both plus five Alpha Crates.
