Comms Station Six — locked room without the key

The most documented one. Comms Station Six sits on top of the Rice Mill in Imjin Farmland, behind a locked door with good loot (RPG-8 Weapon Manual, Nuclear Program Files, crafting parts were pulled from it).

  1. 1
Climb the pipes to the roof

Scale the exterior piping on the Rice Mill to reach the roof walkway.

  2. 2
Edge off above the middle barred window

Position over the middle barred window on the upper wall and step off.

  3. 3
    Spam jump as you fall

Mashing jump during the drop grabs the window ledge and vaults you inside — no key spent.

Glitch or intended? Unclear. Activision's own DMZ guide hints locked rooms "have another way to get in" — which could mean this window is design, not bug. Recorded during Early Access; if unintended, expect it to close in a patch without notice.

The XP glitches — reported, not confirmed

GlitchClaimStatus
Type 73 Apex XP glitchEquip the Type 73 LMG's Apex attachment, aim at the back of a tank and fire — reported to farm weapon XP, rank and money solo.Unverified, surfaced Oct 26
XP / prestige / dog tagsA shared method said to grant unlimited weapon XP, operator prestiges and dog-tag progress.Unconfirmed, unpatched as of Oct 22
Riot-shield wallbreachA solo "wallbreach anywhere" method using riot-shield clipping — out-of-map spots on multiplayer maps too.Unverified

All of these are creator-reported during Early Access — treat "works in a video" as unconfirmed until patched or officially acknowledged.

The actual risk

Patch, not ban

In-game physics exploits don't trip RICOCHET — that system targets third-party software (which is also why PC requires TPM 2.0 + Secure Boot). The realistic cost of a patched spot is that it just stops working.

Exploits ≠ cheats, but still unfair

Using movement quirks isn't bannable tampering, but unlimited-XP methods skip real progression — which is exactly what hotfixes prioritize killing first.

What to expect

Early-access DMZ patched roughly on a weekly cadence — anything in the XP row above is the most likely to die in the next update.

FAQ

Is there a working MW4 DMZ glitch right now?

The Comms Station Six window entry on the Rice Mill is the best-documented — climb pipes, edge off above the middle barred window, spam jump in. Whether it's a bug or an intended alternate entrance isn't confirmed.

Can you get banned for DMZ glitches?

RICOCHET targets third-party software, not physics exploits — the risk on these is a silent patch, not a ban. Anything involving external tools is a different story.

Is the unlimited XP glitch real?

Unconfirmed — creator-reported methods (Type 73 Apex vs tank; a prestige/dog-tag method) were circulating in late October but remain unverified and unpatched.

Where do I check if a glitch is patched?

Patch notes land with each update; community exploit trackers flag lifecycle status (reported → confirmed → patched). Assume anything XP-related dies first.
