Multicrew Tank Combat
A co-op armored warfare game on Roblox where a whole crew shares one tank — someone drives, someone shoots, someone loads, and the commander calls the fight. Battles span WW2, Cold War and modern eras.
New here? The fastest way in: join a tank as loader or gunner, follow your commander's calls, and learn the penetration model — armor angle and shell type matter more than reflexes.
What the game is
Multicrew Tank Combat (often shortened to MTC) puts crews of three or four players inside a single vehicle. Nobody solos a tank — driving, aiming, loading and spotting are split across real people, so teamwork decides fights more than individual skill. Matches support up to 48 players, and infantry and engineers fight alongside the armor.
The game sits in a niche between arcade and sim: shells have types, armor has thickness and angle, and hits can knock out internal modules — engine, ammo rack, crew — or start fires instead of just shaving off a health bar.
Crew roles
Every seat on the tank is a different job. A full crew of four beats four solo tanks almost every time.
| Role | Job | Good first pick? |
|---|---|---|
| Commander | Spots targets, runs the rangefinder on Cold War tanks, calls shots and movement | Best with experience |
| Gunner | Aims and fires the main gun — lead, drop and ammo choice | Yes |
| Driver | Positions the hull, manages angles so your armor works, keeps the gun pointed at threats | Yes |
| Loader | Feeds the gun — the simplest seat, and the best place to learn callouts | Easiest start |
Eras and how a match flows
Before each battle the server votes on a theater — the era decides which vehicles everyone can field.
- WW2 — slower, armor-and-angle duels; good for learning hull-down and flanking.
- Cold War — rangefinders, early stabilizers and faster tanks; the middle ground.
- Modern — thermals, ERA and high-penetration darts; punishing but the most vehicle variety.
Classes outside the tank matter too: crew run the vehicles, infantry fight on foot, and engineers build fortifications and repair — the August 2025 update reworked engineers around a material system and entrenching.
Frontlines and recent updates
The big August 15, 2025 patch added the Frontlines game mode plus a wave of new vehicles — it's the update that pushed the game back up the Roblox charts.
- Frontlines — the newer mode layered on top of classic matches, built around the same crewed combat.
- Zone-11 — a map added in the same update.
- Amphibious vehicles — can swim again after the rework.
- New armor — M6A2 and Firefly remodel (WW2), M48 remodel and Object 906 (Cold War), T-72B1, T-80UM-1 "Bars", VT4, Challenger Falcon and more (Modern).
Beginner tips
- Angle your armor. Point the thickest plate toward the shooter; a slight angle bounces shells a flat plate would eat.
- Learn shell types. Penetration depends on both your ammo and what you're hitting — switch shells instead of firing the default at everything.
- Modules beat HP. Engine hits immobilize, ammo-rack hits end fights. Aim for sides and rears.
- Stay near infantry cover. Lone tanks get flanked; a crewed tank with infantry support holds ground.
- Talk. The game was built for voice — even "tank left, reloading" wins fights.
FAQ
Can you play Multicrew Tank Combat solo?
You can join alone and fill a single seat, but the game is designed around crews — expect to share a vehicle with strangers, which is where the mic helps most.
Is Multicrew Tank Combat free?
Yes — free on Roblox, like the rest of the platform.
How many players are in a match?
Servers hold up to 48 players split between the two teams.
Which era should a new player vote for?
WW2 — the slower pace and simpler fire control make it the easiest era to learn positioning and angling before moving to Cold War and Modern.
