Melty: merge two games into one

Melty is a free Windows app that fuses two games you already own into a single playable mashup — download it, pick a mashup, press Play. No manual modding required.

Get it here: the only official download is melty.gg/download — free, Windows-only, made by Stella Montis Inc. (a Y Combinator-backed team). There is no Mac or console version, and any "Melty games" download on another domain is not the real thing.

How a Melty game merge works

    Install the app

    Run the Melty Setup file — it installs in a few seconds and opens on its own.

    Pick a mashup

    Browse community-made combinations — for example SkyCraft, which drops Minecraft-style building into Skyrim. Mashups only run on games you legitimately own and have installed.

    Press Play

    Melty downloads the mashup, installs and configures everything it needs, then launches the merged game. If a required game is missing, it sends you to that game's store page — it never pirates a copy.

    Invite friends (optional)

    Multiplayer mashups mint an invite link you can keep private, share with friends, or publish publicly.

Make your own: Melty supports publishing your own game mashup — you hand Melty's instructions to an AI coding agent (Claude Code or Codex), describe what you want merged, and the agent builds it. Uploaded mashups are scanned before they reach players.

Is it safe?

    Your games are not permanently modified

    Uninstalling a mashup restores every file to its original state — that is the key difference from hand-edited mod installs.

    No piracy involved

    Every mashup requires you to own both games. Melty checks your installed copies and links out to stores for anything missing.

    Download only from melty.gg. The app is free with no subscription — any site charging for it or offering a "Melty game merge" installer elsewhere should be avoided.

Is Melty free?

Yes — the Windows app is a free download from melty.gg with no subscription. The games a mashup merges still need to be owned separately.

Which games can be merged?

Mashups are built per combination by the community. Popular bases include Minecraft, Skyrim, Elden Ring, Portal, Halo MCC and Modern Warfare 2 — check the in-app catalog for what currently exists, or build your own with an AI agent.

Can I play mashups with friends?

Yes, on multiplayer-enabled mashups. Pressing Play generates an invite link — share it and friends join the same merged session.

Is there a Mac version?

No. Melty is Windows-only right now. There is no official Mac, Linux or mobile build.
