One puzzle a day, same for everyone - a new seance begins at midnight.

How the jinx works

  1. 1
    Guess the word

Six tries at a hidden five-letter word - classic green / yellow / gray tile rules.

  2. 2
    Avoid the jinxed letters

Four letters are secretly cursed and never in the answer. Play one and it is revealed with a skull - plus one of your three candles burns out.

  3. 3
    Spend candles wisely

A revealed jinx still teaches you something: that letter is out for the whole round.

  4. 4
    Win before the séance ends

Find the word before guesses or candles run out - lose all three and the round is over.

Tips

Probe with safe words

Early guesses heavy on common letters reveal jinxes cheaply - a burnt candle buys a full alphabet elimination.

Watch the skulls

A skull tile means that letter is cursed everywhere, not just in that position.

Practice mode

The dice button deals unlimited practice rounds without touching your daily streak.
