What HUNGER actually plays like

A deep first-person RPG wrapped in an extraction-shooter loop - solo, duo or trio.

Expeditions

Drop into a decaying zone, scavenge resources and quest items, fight plague horrors and rival Living - then get out alive to keep it all.

Extraction

Hold inside the extraction zone for 30 seconds, then walk to the balloon and interact. Leaving the zone reverses your timer; parties share one countdown.

Level 1-100 progression

Quests, surviving expeditions and a skill system shape your character - your story and gear persist, since there are no seasonal wipes.

Professions & market

Pick a crafting or gathering profession, make gear for yourself or friends, and trade in the player-driven marketplace.

FAQ

Is HUNGER out on Steam?

Not released - the store still says "Coming soon". What's live now is the free Closed Beta playtest (Oct 19-26).

Is HUNGER free?

The playtest is free to join once invited. No price or monetization has been announced for release; cosmetics are earned in game.

Can I play on PS5 or Xbox?

No - Windows/Steam only, and no crossplay has been announced.

Is it like Hunt: Showdown?

Same extraction genre, different bones - HUNGER leans harder on RPG progression, professions and persistent characters than a pure session shooter.
