Hamburger Hill Game
Wesware's new single-player military FPS — a Vietnam-inspired war in the fictional country of Granovia. Plan your campaign on the map, equip your soldiers, then drop into first-person and fight each battle yourself.
What it is: a single-player military FPS with a strategy layer on top. You run a campaign in fictional Granovia — Vietnam-flavored jungles, rice paddies and streets — taking territory, holding off counterattacks and keeping your men alive, fighting every battle yourself in first person.
How a run plays
- 1Plan on the campaign map
Pick which territory to attack next — the campaign is the meta layer where your decisions shape the war.
- 2Equip your soldiers
Factions have distinct equipment lists — the M16 is selective-fire, the M60 is belt-fed suppression. Kit your squad for the fight you're choosing, not the last one.
- 3Fight it yourself
Every battle plays in first person — you lead the squad through jungle, rice paddy and street fights rather than resolving them on the map.
- 4Hold what you take
Taken territory draws counterattacks — the campaign is as much about surviving the response as winning the assault.
Quick Play and factions
Outside the campaign, Quick Play builds custom battles — terrain, weather and opposing forces of your choosing, up to massive 64-player battles across as many as three factions.
| Faction | Flavor |
|---|---|
| U.S. Forces | The expeditionary army — American equipment and firepower |
| Federate Army of Granovia | The home army of the fictional setting |
| W.A.R.L.O.R.D.Z | The third belligerent — lets three-sided battles happen in Quick Play |
Not the other Hamburger Hills
The name collides with three different things — pick the right one before you download anything.
This game
Wesware's single-player FPS — the one that's trending, released October 2026 and still in active development.
The 1987 film
The Vietnam war movie about the real assault on Hill 937 — what you're after if you want streaming or a plot summary, not a game.
The real battle
Operation Apache Snow, May 1969 — the historical fight the name comes from.
Mod maps & scenarios
Hamburger Hill maps exist inside other games — Ravenfield workshop maps, Arma 3 scenarios — separate from this standalone release.
