Your first 10 minutes

  1. 1
    Buy a helmet

The garage has a helmet table - grab one before anything else, you can swap styles later.

  2. 2
    Pick a backpack for fluids

    Daypack 15L (39.90€) carries 1L fuel + 1L oil; Moped pack 25L (69.90€) carries 3L + 2L; Touring 40L carries 5L + 3L.

  3. 3
Buy a used moped on the garage computer

Listings come from eBuy - check papers, TÜV, mileage and defects before paying. The crate arrives at the garage door in about a minute.

  4. 4
    Mix your fuel

Regular petrol (E5, E10 or Super) takes about 20 ml of two-stroke oil per litre. Set the fuel tap to ON - RESERVE is your last litre.

  5. 5
    Kick-start and ride

Find the key, hold Shift and press W to kick, release Shift once it fires.

The full in-game tutorial is 25 steps - reopen it anytime with the question mark in the corner.

Mopeds and what they cost

Used-market prices seen on eBuy - the same model swings wildly with mileage and paperwork.

MopedSeen pricesNotes
Puch Maxi S1,800 - 3,600€Mileage ~24k-38.5k km in listings; Puch has no ignition key
Simson S513,000 - 10,000€10,000€ was a low-mileage 1982 listing; key sits under the left cover
Schwalbe KR51/1 & /22,750 - 3,600€Both variants appear in the parts shop tabs
Zündapp C 50 Sport~5,000€Daily-rider tier; key is by the speedometer
Read the listing, not the badge. A cheap S51 with a carboned plug, rusty exhaust, torn seat and no TÜV is a project bike - that is the point of the game, but know what you're buying.

Repairs and tuning at MopedTeile

The parts shop splits by moped, then by Repair and Tuning tabs. Repair covers spark plugs, chains, brakes and tyres; Tuning covers cylinders, exhausts and carburettors for more power. Order the part, wait about a minute for the crate, then fit it at the workbench (O).

FAQ

How do I start the moped?

Find the key first - Simson hides it under the left cover, Zündapp puts it by the speedometer, Puch has none. Fuel tap ON, then hold Shift and press W to kick.

Which moped is fastest?

No public source lists top speeds - the workbench is supposed to preview horsepower and speed after tuning, so buy on budget and listing quality instead.

Are there codes?

See our German Moped Days codes page for the current code status.
