What FiveM is
A modification (by Cfx.re, now part of Rockstar) that runs GTA V and GTA V Enhanced in dedicated community servers — roleplay cities, racing, custom game modes — instead of GTA Online. It needs a legitimate GTA V install.
Getting started
- Own GTA V (Legacy or Enhanced) on Steam, Epic or Rockstar.
- Download the client only from fivem.net — fake installers are a real malware vector.
- Browse the server list; filter by language and population.
- Whitelist RP servers (the big ones) require an application on their Discord first.

- CEF v144 upgrade rolled out on Canary — a big Chromium jump for NUI resources, with breaking changes for server devs.
- GTA V Enhanced support keeps improving in Early Access.
FAQ
Is FiveM legal / allowed?
Yes — Rockstar acquired Cfx.re; FiveM is tolerated as long as you own GTA V and servers do not monetize IP unfairly.
Does FiveM work on console?
No — PC only.
Will I get banned from GTA Online?
Not if you use the official client; it runs separate from GTA Online files.
