The New Lab update is live November 7-11: a fresh lab layout, additional monsters, three new jumpscares, and a reworked fightback system that finally lets you defend yourself. No codes exist in the game - gear comes from selling scrap.

Surviving the lab

Every monster hunts by a different rule - learning which rule you're facing is the whole game.

Noise hunters

Some creatures react to every step - crouch-walking and timing your moves past them beats sprinting.

Gaze hunters

Others only move when you're not watching - keep them in view while you back away, and never turn your camera on a whim.

Light drainers

A third type dims the lights around them - when the dark closes in, you already know what's coming.

Fightback

The New Lab update added a way to defend yourself - expensive, but the first real answer to a bad run-in.

Scrap > gear

  1. 1
    Fill your carry limit

Scrap sits around the lab and each baboon holds a limited amount - a full bag means a shop run is due.

  2. 2
    Sell at the shop

Scrap converts to coins; coins buy gear that raises your survival odds next round.

  3. 3
    Squad up

More eyes means the gaze-type monsters get pinned more often - teaming up is the safest way to learn the map.
