Codes: one code is circulating — RELEASE for free Gems (redeem from the code box in the menu or Settings). The game's own description doesn't advertise codes, so if it fails it's already expired; nothing is lost by trying.

The loop

Each room is the same rhythm — break, vacuum, deposit, upgrade. The walls just get thicker.

  1. 1
    Smash the wall

Hold your tool on the wall until blocks break loose. Every hit is progress — the wall has a fixed block count, not a puzzle.

  2. 2
    Vacuum the rubble

Broken blocks become cubes you vacuum up. Your bag fills fast, so don't over-haul before depositing.

  3. 3
    Deposit for Money

Carry collected cubes to the deposit belt to convert them into cash — the currency that buys the whole progression.

  4. 4
    Upgrade tools & storage

Money buys the next tool tier and bigger storage; blue blocks fund research boosts. A better tool is worth more than another bag upgrade once you can one-cycle a wall.

  5. 5
    Into the next room

Breaking through moves you to a new room with a bigger wall. There are 9 walls in total — the run ends at the Gold Vault, and finishing pays Gems toward your best time.

Tools, classes and gems

Know thisWhy it matters
Tool ladderPickaxe → Shovel → Drill → Jackhammer — each tier breaks blocks faster, which is the only real gate on later walls
ClassesUnlockable classes add passive perks — check what yours does before a run, some lean into speed, some into yield
GemsEarned from successful escapes (and the code above) — spent on the premium side of progression
Best timeEscapes are timed; replaying for a faster clear is the endgame loop once you reach the Gold Vault
Co-opUp to 4 players share a run — more hands on a wall means faster rooms, and it's the intended way to play

First-run tips

Tool before bag

Breaking blocks faster beats carrying more of them — if you can afford either, take the tool upgrade first.

Spend the blue blocks

Blue blocks fund research boosts, and sitting on them does nothing. Check the research option whenever a room feels slow.

Deposit early, deposit often

There's no bonus for a full bag — short trips back to the belt keep cash flowing and upgrades coming.

Play the multiplayer bonus

The game supports up to 4 players and walls don't scale with party size — a duo clears meaningfully faster than solo.

Why everyone's playing it: released mid-October 2026, Escape the Walls jumped onto Roblox's Up-and-Coming sorts after its October 27 update — the simple "what's behind the next wall" hook plus 4-player co-op pulled thousands of concurrent players within two weeks.

FAQ

Is Escape the Walls free?

Yes — free to play on Roblox with optional game passes. No purchase is needed to reach the Gold Vault.

How many rooms are there?

Nine walls in total, ending at the Gold Vault. Each room is one wall — break it and you move on.

Can you play solo?

Yes. The game supports 1–4 players and nothing is co-op-only — solo runs are just slower.

What's the best tool?

The Jackhammer is the top of the ladder (Pickaxe → Shovel → Drill → Jackhammer). Prioritize climbing it over storage upgrades.
