How a run works

  1. 1
    Pick a Smiling Critter

All eight Critters are playable — four unlock through progression. You see the factory through their dead-eyed, gaping-smile perspective.

  2. 2
    Enter a shifting facility section

Each run drops the squad into a dynamically changing section — classrooms, warehouses, testing labs and the corridors between.

  3. 3
    Scavenge for The Voice

A mysterious Voice assigns fetch-and-carry objectives — collect parts and resources for a sanctuary it promises loyal toys.

  4. 4
    Haul it back alive

Rejected Playtime Co. creations stalk the halls — choose when to split up, when to regroup, and when to abandon the objective and run.

What to know

Canonical prequel

Set after the Hour of Joy but before Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 — the first playable look at that period of the story.

2-8 player extraction

More Critters means more ground covered and more ways to go wrong — solo is supported but it's built for squads.

Proximity voice chat

Comms are distance-based — calling out a monster can also give away your position. Sometimes silence wins.

Use the factory

Puzzles, hiding spots and alternate routes are the survival toolkit — the layout is your best weapon.
