ⓘ

The one rule: don't splash. The monster is blind - it can't see you, but it hears every drop. Fall in the water and it comes straight for you; stand still in the center of a tile and it swims past.

Setting up a run

  1. 1
    Create a party

Walk into "Touch to create a party" and set the size 1-4. Solo works, but nobody pulls you out of the water when you slip.

  2. 2
    Pick Poolrooms

Leave the Farm tile alone - as of the Oct 24 update it still returns "THIS GAME IS NOT PUBLISHED" (error 773).

  3. 3
    Choose difficulty

Easy runs one monster, Normal runs three. Hard unlocks after two Normal clears and is genuinely nasty.

  4. 4
    START NOW

CREATE or wait out the countdown, then hit START NOW. Tunnels between rooms act as checkpoints.

The nine rooms

Five rooms were added in the Oct 24 update alongside the Halloween Pack - the full route now looks like this.

RoomThe trick
Pillar HallJump the platforms and follow the black arrows - a gentle intro
Broken WalkwayShort hops on narrow ledges, or longer hops on wide ones
Sinking PlatformsTiles drop while you stand on them - dark-bordered tiles are the pause points
Rotating BridgeWait for the strip to line up, board the near end, hop off at the far end - then the red valve wheels (hold E)
Moving PlatformsTime the cycle, don't rush the last jump
Drifting PlatformsFloors slide you toward the water - keep correcting against the drift
Memory BridgeSafe tiles glow for a moment, then you cross from memory
Crushing WallsWalls close in - move on the gaps, hesitate and you're pulp
Locked ExitPhotograph the four digits hidden on pillars (F on camera prompt) to unlock the final door

Items & controls that save runs

Pebbles & bottles

Throw them (click / THROW button) to splash elsewhere - the monster charges the noise while you move. Bait it, then go.

Camera

At the Locked Exit, photograph the four pillar digits to open the door - press F when the prompt shows.

Push

F near the monster (or a teammate) shoves it back - your last resort when it's already on you.

Downed

H calls for help, a teammate presses G to pull you out, B bleeds out. Self-rescue costs 24 Robux per use when offered.

Hotbar

Number keys equip items; press the same key again to put it away.

3rd person pad

A "3RD PERSON / STEP IN TO SWITCH VIEW" pad helps if the jumps are hard to read in first person.

Stand still, survive: if the monster is circling your tile, freeze in the center. It hunts sound - hanging around the edge is how it grabs you from below.

Passes & the codes question

Worth-considering passes

Throwing Range, Rescue Speed, Rope Reach, Flare Radius and Toy Battery are the useful permanents - range pays off earliest for distraction throws.

No working codes

There is no verified DONT SPLASH code. The code ILOVEWATER going around belongs to a different game, Dont Spill the Water! - it will not work here.

FAQ

Is DONT SPLASH free?

Yes - 0 Robux, fully playable free inside Roblox on PC, mobile, tablet and console. Passes and self-rescue are optional.

Can I play solo?

Yes - solo is supported, though with nobody to revive you every splash is a full down. Party of 2-4 is the forgiving way to learn.

Are there any DONT SPLASH codes?

No working codes exist. ILOVEWATER is from Dont Spill the Water! by Ascora Studios - a different game entirely.

How do I unlock Hard mode?

Clear Normal twice - Hard puts three monsters in the water and is where the game stops being forgiving.
