Stuck waiting for Cash? Backtracking is the fastest way forward. Press T to teleport back up, spend on Upgrades, Fossils and Worms, then push deeper again.

The core loop

Every step you buy takes you deeper into the pit, and each step costs more Cash than the last. When your income can't keep up, you go back up — spending what you earned on the systems that multiply your Cash — then descend again a little further. Layers act like regions: each one ends in a boss fight, and beating it unlocks Rebirth.

What to spend Cash on

The four systems that raise your income, roughly in the order you meet them.

SystemWhat it doesNotes
StepsEach buy takes you one step deeper and raises your base earning positionMain progression — costs scale fast
UpgradesDirect boosts: Cash generation rate, Cash per gain, Walk SpeedFirst room you open; the most reliable income boost
FossilsDug up in a designated area; each gives Cash + Luck boosts by rarityEach fossil has a collect cap — finish one and the rarity above it becomes the base dig
Worms & TitlesWorms feed a separate boost; Titles are rolled near the bottom of the Dirt layer for extra Cash generationTitles survive Rebirth — roll before you reset
Teleport is the mechanic that makes it click. Press T to hop between unlocked points — don't walk back. Efficient runs alternate between pushing new depth and teleporting up to spend.

Bosses and the Worm Queen

Every layer ends in a boss arena — a real fight, not a purchase.

Rebirth — the first reset

Rebirth is a soft reset at the end of a layer: it wipes that layer's progress and pays out permanent multipliers.

Roll for better Titles before you reset — they're the one thing that carries over, so the last stretch of Dirt is the best time to burn rolls. Future layers are expected to gate further Rebirth levels with steeper costs.

FAQ

How many layers are in Depth Incremental?

Two for now — Dirt and Stone — each with its own upgrade systems and an end boss. New layers arrive with updates.

What should I buy first?

A few steps to start moving, then open the Upgrades room and put Cash into generation rate — income upgrades pay for the next steps fastest.

Do I lose everything when I Rebirth?

No — Rebirth resets the layer's progress but keeps your Titles and pays out permanent ×10 Cash and ×3 Worms, which makes the next run much faster.

Is Depth Incremental free?

Yes — free on Roblox. Liking and favoriting the game helps unlock update rewards, and Roblox Plus gives +20% Luck.
